This is a great app. It is working really well for me to display a large number of pictures on a slideshow on my Fire Tablet. I have been using Amazon Photos to do a slideshow of my family album. It had a few issues like lack of control and I often had to restart it due to new pictures added but it mostly worked. After Amazon changed Photos on the Fire Tablet it didn't work at all. I had to download all of the albums I wanted to display to the tablet but once done the pictures are there and backed up and this app found pictures I had on Google I had forgotten. The app has been running for days now without an issue. One thing that would help is more documentation on how one can make it work better like how to organize the pictures and how it decides what to display and in which order. Read more
pFolio is a MUCH better screensaver than the default one that comes with the Fire products. Why: The Fire Stick or Fire TV screensaver was limited to only 100 photos. No matter how many photos you upload to Amazon Photos - the Fire Stick screensaver will ONLY show @ 100 photos. I searched all over the net but nobody had a solution - Amzn customer service doesn't even seem to know what the real viewing limit is or when it will be fixed - but it is a known problem. pFolio was easy to use - you'll need a Google account and then just walk through the steps on the app. Took me about 8 minutes - with most of the time spend looking at the pFolio settings. My only complaint - the default Amzn screensaver limit is a VERY common problem (Google it) - maybe the developer should post his solution in some of these forums. This is the worst app I have ever bought! Just bought a new Amazon fire stick with voice remote, waited a month and a half for delivery. Now bought this app and it has been a terrible experience. Had a terrible time getting signed in with many glitches which has slowed my streaming of photos to a crawl at best. It is almost impossible to find and view photos to the point of rendering it usless. There are no insructions on how to navigate the app. It is almost a complete waste. The next thing that might have to go is is the firestick. Alexa is really bad and refuses to answer most everything I ask. Even the quality of the photos when I can show them are poor. I am about to return the stick while I still have the chance. I guess I am stuck with the app. Read more
