I’m impressed with this plastic welding gun. It comes with a large variety of different welding staples, which makes it very versatile for all kinds of plastic repair jobs. The gun itself feels well made and heats up the staples very quickly! If you don’t push them into the plastic fast enough, they’ll get red hot, so a little practice helps. There weren’t any clear directions on which staple size to use for different types of repairs, which could be confusing for beginners, but if you’ve done any plastic welding before, it would be simple to use. One word of caution, be very careful when cutting off the ends of the staples. They can shoot out quickly and could cause injury if you’re not wearing safety glasses. The included pair of dikes that is used to cut the ends of the staples off works, but they’re a bit on the cheap side and started to deform after a few cuts. So if you are planning on doing a lot of plastic welds, you might want to invest in a better pair of cutters. I used the welder to fix a small crack in my car bumper, and even as a beginner, I was able to make a solid repair. It doesn't look super pretty but that's because of my lack of skill rather than the tool. Someone who's more familiar with using one of these can do a much prettier job I'm sure. Overall, this is a great value. The welder works very well, comes with tons of staples, and is a versatile, solid tool for plastic repairs once you get the hang of it. Highly recommended. Read more
