This product does exactly what others have done. I have bought headphones that have come with adapters in the past but my most recent turtle beach set did not. This adapter has 5 buttons on it, a mute button, a master volume up, master volume down, and two buttons that seem to confuse most people. When you are playing a game, and you are in a chat of any kind (party, application like discord, etc.) you can use the left buttons to adjust the volume of the chat you are in or the game you are playing on the fly. If you want more chat volume, by clicking the human button, it will mute the game and increase the chat volume by 1 stage. It helps you level out chats much easier on the fly if someone starts being abruptly loud or if the game suddenly has a quiet part that you want to listen to. Overall, worked great. Worked on the software side on the Xbox side and not on the hardware side. So it worked on the Xbox and it didn't use its own hardware and the inside for it to mute and change volumes. I really like that the mute button on the actual piece lights up when you're muted and does not light up when you're not muted. It's a nice just glance at the controller and see if you're muted. I did notice that when I put it in the by Xbox One controller, it was acting a little weird. Sometimes when I would hit the up and down on the volume key, it would unplug and disconnect itself entirely. But on the Xbox Series S and Series X controllers, it worked perfectly fine. That may just be my controller, but I actually do not have another Xbox One controller to test out since most of mine are Xbox Series S controllers at the moment. Overall though, I can see myself using this in the future to quickly mute and unmute myself on with change volumes and switch to party and game chat. It's honestly really nice to have this feature not have to hit the home button and then go through the menus to change settings every time. Read more
