Cold Air Quickly! Light weight and Quiet in Sleep Mode with Low Power. Great Customer Service!
Their Customer Service is great. They responded timely and very helpful. I had lots of questions before diving in to make the purchase and a few questions afterwards. I’ve been using this Portable AC for about 3 weeks now since purchasing it early Sep2025. I’ve used it in South Louisiana during late summer to early fall in a small guest room about 100sqft with 3 exterior walls which gets lots of sun, to help supplement the home Central AC. Outside temp ranged from lower 80’s to mid 90’s. The house AC is set at 75 but the Guest Room would get 3 to 5 degrees hotter, reaching about 80 during peak daylight. I had the portable AC set to 74 at first during the day and to 72 at night in Sleep Mode. It cooled the room down in less than an hour from 79 to 74. During this time I also used it in a 2 person tent for several days with the AC inside the tent and the heat exhaust hose to the outside. I didn't want the AC to get wet with rain or dew. The temp was set to 74 during the day and 72 at night. It took about 3 hours to get the tent to 74 at midday. Next summer once I’m able to use it during really hot and humid days, I’ll post an update on its performance. It blows cold air immediately upon the compressor kicking in which takes about 3 minutes for first star up. It is quite in ‘normal’ usage for me at 74 with the fan on medium speed setting 2 (there’s low, medium, high). In fan only mode it is really quiet, as would be expected since no compressor is running. Every now and then there is a slight rattle but not annoying nor obtrusive. In both scenarios, I’ve powered it several times with my solar generator to monitor power usage and Watts. I’ve noticed the first initial startup of the compressor takes about 1500W, then drops down to the upper 600W area but tapers off lower to mid 400s. When the unit drops to fan only mode about 25W is used (at medium speed). A few minutes later when the compressor starts up again it uses just under 700W to kick start it, but then tapers off to mid 400s and sometimes lower. In Sleep Mode at 72 degrees and low fan speed it is near 400W, sometimes a little lower and sometimes a little higher. The two-tone color scheme of the Portable AC is ‘neutral’. The hose attachment is bendable but rigid. I had to get a more flexible hose for inside the Guest Room, since the unit is close to the window. The Tent connection was included after I inquired with Customer Service about it before purchasing. The AC was shipped well packaged, both outside and in. All in all I’m impressed and do recommend this portable AC for the user scenarios it is intended for. Read more
