Wanted something inexpensive/basic/small/lightweight for occasionally watching DVD's on a 27" 12V TV in a lil camper. Didn't expect nor wanted to pay for a lot of frills, that's what I received. This came with all the cables I needed to connect to HDMI inputs on TV plus power the unit. Worked no problems for us. Watched 2 movies already. Remote working dandy. Pretty quiet also. I won't rehash what you can find in other reviews. I was looking for a compact portable DVD player for my TT. This totally fits the bill. If you're an RV'er and want a player that runs on 12v DC like your TV does, this works great. You can plug it into an outlet or a USB port like I did. The battery monitor readings are with just the DVD and TV playing and the second is with all the lights and exhaust fans as well as the refrigerator turned on. Now mind you I have not plugged in or charged my lithium batteries since last year. You can see the reading at 98 hours 4.07A and dropped to 38 hours and almost 12A draw. When the batteries get fully charged im sure the readings will improve. On those cold and rainy nights where your signals are low the DVD player will fill the gap. Does work for PAL. Does not work for NYSC. Remote takes several punches to work and it is a bit confusing and frustrating When you stop a disc, it starts up again if you don’t turn off the power Picture quality okay We are not planing to returning because we have a few PAL discs that we would like access to.
