I was on the hunt for a reliable chin-up bar that could accommodate the wider doorframes in my new apartment, and the LYHOME Portable Pull-Up Bar exceeded my expectations from the moment I unboxed it. First off, the packaging is impressive—bubble-wrapped and securely packed in LYHOME’s own branded box. Right away, it felt like a product designed with care. The best part? It’s truly plug-and-play. No need for complicated assembly or extra tools; everything comes pre-attached, and installation is a breeze. LYHOME claims it takes 8 seconds to set up, but in my experience, it was even faster. I barely had time to blink before it was securely in place. One of my biggest concerns was whether the bar would actually stay put. The spring-loaded handles are a game-changer, preventing any unexpected slipping or detachment from the doorframe. The snug fit gives a level of security that’s far more reassuring than a traditional pull-up bar—no wobbling, no shifting, just a rock-solid hold. I even tested swinging a bit (because why not?), and it didn’t budge at all. Another standout feature is the grip material, which feels premium and comfortable, without damaging the walls or doorframe—a relief after dealing with my previous bar that left behind some unfortunate marks (RIP to my old security deposit). Plus, LYHOME thoughtfully includes a replacement rope for the handles, just in case. After several workouts, I can confidently say this bar is one of the most satisfying pull-up bars I’ve used. There’s no awkward head-bumping, and the dual-handle design adds versatility to chin-up and core workouts. If you’re looking for a no-screws, sturdy, and well-engineered pull-up bar that installs in seconds, this is absolutely worth the investment. Five stars all the way! Read more

This works great in the right doorway. I don't know if I would trust it if the corners of the frame are mitered. Mine are not so I feel 100% secure. Just be careful that you don't bang your head on the doorway. But with the design, the more weight you apply the stronger it grips the frame. There is no chance it will fall off, unlike some bars that use friction between the sides. Also, unlike a pull up gar, the handles are attached by rope so the angle can be adjusted to suit your preference. Read more
I ordered the tension pull up bar, but then was reading all the reviews and how it cracked the frame, so I was scared and returned it. I came across these and was reading reviews ...they are EXACTLY as everyone claims. These are great - worth the extra spend and they are portable, which is also really convenient. They are comfortable on the hands and adjustable for how far apart you want them. I honestly am so impressed. If you are thinking about it, JUST BUY THEM. I leave them up in the doorway and every time I walk by, I just hang from them and stretch, which has really loosened up my back and shoulders. There was a review on here that they slip off the door frame...not sure what that person is talking about...they are totally solid and stable. Read more

These pull-up handles arrived well-packaged, individually wrapped and secured in bubble wrap. Each handle weighs around 5–8 lbs and is made of heavy steel with a durable foam grip. The climbing rope connecting the handles feel strong and secure, and the silicone-wrapped steel head that anchors to the door frame is solid and well-built. The package also included two extra ropes and a service card. The adjustable handle width lets you target different areas of your back easily. Setup was quick, I was able to start doing pull-ups in under 30 seconds (from box to doorframe). So far, they feel like one of my best ‘pull-up bar’ purchases (3rd one owned). I’ll update after more use! Read more
Love it. My last cheap pull up bar was absolutely DESTROYING my door frame and even the wall began to crack a bit. The frame had indentations whereever the bar would touch. This not inly gives me what feels like a tougher workout because the handles are on rope and you need to balance, but it also does NOT destroy my door lol the design is well thought of and the clamps are super tough, the don't feel like plastic but metal, the part that clings on to the frame is like a soft rubber and it has not damaged the frame. It functions perfect for core exercises and back/shoulder. Super easy to transport also as it does not weight much or take much space. Definitely worth its value just so you don’t destroy your home. I've been having shoulder pain and watched numerous YouTube videos for advice. One video advised hanging as a treatment, so I ordered these pull up bars. They're extremely easy to attach above a door frame and work so well that the hanging had an immediate effect on my ability to move my shoulder. I use them several times a day for 15-20 seconds at a time to keep my shoulder in good working order Read more
