Love this tent/Its a mansion!

Amazing tent! I went from a truck tent to this Mansion!! Easy to set up after one practice trial run. My lady and I can get this tent up in the forest in about 15 minutes. Practice once at home and save an argument =) So spacious, I have a queen size inflatable mattress and room for camping shelves and a chair to put shoes on. Then the amazing Arizona room, we have 2 chairs and a table set up there, great for meals with zero flies!! Read more

Very large and practical!

Amazing tent, we've been camping with this probably a total of 2 weeks throughout the year in every climate. It's large enough to put a king sized air mattress at the end and still have over half the tent for everything else. Another plus is plenty of headspace for a 6' person, storage pockets for all the corners, and a perfect spot to hang a lamp overhead. The porch area was a big plus for us as well. I liked that it doesnt have a floor that would pool up water in the rain and it's big enough to cover our two bikes and still have space for a camp chair and cooler. The only downside to this tent is that it would be very difficult to set up if you dont have two people as the steel bars connect horizontally and would fall over and disconnect if you dont have another person helping to hold up the tent. Otherwise, it's not bad, takes about 15 minutes with practice, and could easily accommodate an entire family! Read more

Perfect for camping and withstood high winds

KaileeMay 18, 2025✓ Verified purchase

The media could not be loaded. Loved this tent for our camping trip! This had high reviews and was on sale when I purchased it. We bought the 8 person tent and it fit a queen and twin mattress with lots of room for our bags! It could probably even fit another queen if you’re looking to add more people with space left. The extension portion is great to cover food or just have as a space to lay out. There’s an entrance on the side of the tent as well as from the patio side. We had pretty strong winds during our 2 day trip and the tent was strong enough to stay up! The pegs that are given are a little thin causing some sides of the tent to rise up which is why I only have 4 stars. But I’m sure if we didn’t have much wind, it’d probably stay down better. Maybe purchasing your own pegs that are a little more durable will help this problem. Easiest set up as well! Tip: Match the color on the poles to the color of the fabric. It only took us about 10 minutes to set up and break down + very compact and light. We got a lot of airflow through the tent and the rain canopy on top was a great addition. If you’re looking for an easy set up and sturdy tent, this is it!! Read more

Great tent! No issues or regrets at all!

This is our first tent and it was great! Our campsite was just a little too small for the tent, so we couldn’t fully extend it out as much as we wanted but it still did the job. My review pics aren’t the best, sorry. It rained and was a little windy our first night but everything held up great. Everything stayed in place and thankfully nothing got wet. A queen air mattress fit perfectly inside and there was plenty of room for just the two of us. I love the front part of the tent and how you can sit outside but still be covered and how it separates the outside from the sleeping area. Great place to keep dirty shoes and other stuff without getting your sleeping area all dirty. I would recommend getting an outdoor rug to lay down for the front area of the tent because it does not have any type of “flooring” or whatever you wanna call it. Overall, it was easy to put together, kept us dry in the rain, was sturdy during the wind, and roomy. Very happy with our tent and can’t wait to take it out again this weekend! Read more

I love it!

The media could not be loaded. This tent is great! I absolutely love it so far. It says this tent takes 2 people to set up, but I was able to set it up by myself, having never set up a tent before in my life. The instructions that come with the tent are not great, so I went on YouTube and found the video for how to set it up on the Portal Tent's page. I bought this tent for my camping trips with my dog and I, and the size is great, although I'm not sure how it could comfortably sleep 6 people...maybe if they're packed in like sardines! But I have a queen sized air mattress, and it still leaves some room for storing your things. So the size is perfect for my dog and I. I love the screened in porch area as well, it really does help keep the flying bugs out. That being said, the porch does not have a bottom, so make sure to put a tarp down to help keep the critters on the ground away. I love the option for a view of the stars at night if you leave the rainfly off. The rainfly is super simple to take on and off. It did rain a bit on my last trip, and the tent stayed nice and dry. I do wish there was at least one window on the sides (there's only 2 windows...one in the back, and one on the door), but the ventilation was just fine, as I slept with both windows open. Also, I would recommend buying some better stakes, as the ones that come with it are not the best. I bought the heavy duty nail stakes and they stayed in the entire time. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend this tent if you are looking for something that is good quality and is a relatively easy set up! Read more
