Very happy with this leather bag. Beautiful color and good quality leather. I like the raw edges which are a slightly different color. Inside is unlined and has two small compartments just as described. The magnetic closures seem strong. I have ordered from Portland leather directly for a round leather bag and was so pleased when I saw this bag on Cyber Monday special I grabbed it right up. I love my new Portland leather koala sling bag. I’m glad I got the large , which is not that big. I think the medium would be too small for me. It holds everything I need perfectly with a little room to spare. The leather is soft and pliable and, at the same time, holds its shape. There are e pockets for your lipstick, pen, etc. The closing is magnetic and not as secure as a zipper, hence the 4 star rating. I’m careful with my purses, so that doesn’t bother me. However, if you’re a very active person and just throw your purse down instead of hanging it up or conscientiously putting it down, that might be a concern as the magnets might not hold. I like this bag, but I wish I hadn’t gotten it. It’s a good size, and the magnets work better than I anticipated. However, I have long-ish hair (approximately down to my lower shoulder blades), and sometimes when I adjust the bag from my back to the front the strap adjustment buckle will rip my hair out. And we are not talking about just one hair, it’s usually around 3 to 5. It’s not every time, but it happens often enough that I wanted to give others a heads up. This is an issue that I haven’t had happen in other bags, and I’m not sure what could be done to improve the issue while retaining the aesthetic of the bag. It may still be a good fit for those with shorter hair, but I would avoid it if you have longer hair. While it’s a great bag for the price point, it’s also expensive enough that I am having trouble justifying moving onto another bag when this one still technically serves my needs… just with a few less hairs every once in a while.
