I like it. It comes to my waist. It has pouches all over the place for the weights. It has one zipper closure. Not sure if it fits tight enough for running without an over shirt or something. I do not plan on running in it. The weights are well enclosed and removable. The only criticism is that the enclosure closes sideways (East/west) versus North(Up). I am keeping this one and will use it. 5 lbs came with it. That is 8 weights. You can order more and there are pockets for up to 20 pounds of weights. So, that is 3 more sets of eight weights which I will eventually buy. The pockets are in the front, the back, the sides, the shoulders, basically everywhere. It is recommended to distribute evenly. I started with six weights. One one each side in front and one on each side in back. You gradually increase over time. Read more
Comfortable. A bit hard to wedge some of the weights in (so the pocket sizes are slightly different) and they look a bit like they are bulging, but doable. The pungent new-plastic/new-car odor is a bit annoying, but I'm hoping that, too, shall pass. Definitely going to look into more weights as 5 lbs doesn't feel like a lot. Read more
Love the vest, however I will be ordering a small instead of a medium. I believe the small will be more snug around by waist and chest. The weights are thin, with a sweater on you would not be able to tell you are wearing a weighted vest. The weights are not coming out, they took sometime to get them in, snug fit. Read more
This jacket caused severe back pain, we don’t have free returns too, unlike Amazon orders. If you are going to try it and not like, you are stuck with this. Read more
PRO's: I wanted to help strengthen my bones. After lots of research online looking at and comparing vests, this weighted vest is the best for me. I had tried the x-shaped vest, which was comfortable but the weight was to heavy for a beginner. The Power Warehouse vest comes with five lbs. of 4.5 oz each coated weights that easily slip into little covered pockets. The directions say to start with 2% of your body weight. I am 5'3" and only weigh 105 lbs. so needed to start with a lighter load. The vest is comfortable and I can run with it. I can also slowly add more weights. CON's: 1. The vest is black and gets pretty hot in the sun. It should would be nice if it came in white. 2. The vest has a pull through flat cord that can be used to snug up the fit above the waist, but you have to tie it. A better approach would be to have a stretchy cord with the small stop that can be pulled and catches the cord when it is pulled, like raincoats have. I would have it given it a five star rating except for these two things. Read more
