I bought this to use on my telescope to add more USB ports to the ASIAir Plus I have controlling it. I wanted a USB hub to be 12v powered with a 5.5x2.1mm power plug compatible with all the power distribution on my telescope rig. This fits the bill. One issue I had is the USB 3.0 noise caused wifi issues if close to the wifi antenna completely shutting down the ASIAir wifi. I rearranged the cables & orientation of this hub to keep the USB cables away from the wifi antenna and it got better. See photo. I originally had the hub oriented with the power & USB 3.0 port pointing forward which put the USB cable near the wifi antenna. Flipping it to the back as you see in the photo resolved this. This is a known problem with USB 3.0 devices in general so just be advised. I suspect the shielding on this hub is minimal so where you put it could be a factor for you too. I purchased a gaming keyboard and it didn't work with my KVM switch. When I switched between computers, the keyboard would shutoff and not turn back on. Using this, power is maintained to the keyboard. As a bonus, the two "Charge" ports work great for my Phone and tablet charges. Read more

This hub works fine as long as you leave it alone. Where my PC is, I occasionally slide it forward just a tiny bit to plug in an HDMI cable and everything plugged into this hub disconnects when I do. I've tried different cables, different USB slots, and every place it fits on my desk, but it still shorts out for whatever reason. Every third time or so my mouse will not reconnect and it takes 10 minutes of turning it on and off again to get it reconnected. It's the bane of my existence (if that were true, I'd say I have a relatively easy life, haha). Read more

Product is extreamly useful and easy to use. After months of use i have had 0 issues out of the product. It powers all of my accessories with out any issues.
