This is the best HUB I have used! The ports are powered by a 98W power supply so it takes some stress of my PC for charging and providing power to connected devices. This has also allowed me to connect multiple devices to my aging PC that I didn't think I would be able to. I have a 4K camera connected and the video comes thru in perfect quality. I also love the on/off buttons to control what ports are powered and which aren't. A small indicator light is easy to see which are on and provides excellent usability. This hub is pleasing beyond expectations. I bought one six weeks ago, and when it didn't fail during my 30 day return window I bought another. It's now a week later and all is well, and if nothing breaks, my opinion is that this is the best thing out there. It's got 8 USB-C ports, 7 USB-A ports, a massive power supply, and switches that are not mechanical on/off, in/out push-buttons but light-press switches (no clicks) with blue indicator lights. The chassis is metal and you feel that you own a quality device. I'm using one on a Mac mini and the other on a big gaming PC. On both machines I went from messy spaghetti to nice and tidy. I just re-read the 1-star reviews and I haven't experienced any of those issues, USB-PD issues and ports not working. But I do have several USB-powered MIDI devices that small, un-powered USB hubs could not handle at all (I bought five, hoping one would work), presumably because they couldn't supply enough power, and this one was the fix. It works fine for "normal" devices, like external drives and SSDs, other hubs, and my MIDI stuff. Devices requiring massive power I haven't tried but my neither do I need them on my desk. I FREAKING LOVE THIS THING. It works super well so far and helped me reduce so much clutter. Before I had about 3 USB hubs all running at once because no one had the amount of ports I needed to actually run my day to day setup. This thing came and had super amount of both USB C and traditional 2.0 ports which is super useful. I love it so much I'm buying another. It's very sleek and easy to use, powers all the devices with no issue and is just a god send! It's extremely hard to find usb hubs with this many ports especially equal usb C and USB 2. The cool thing is that you can also daisy chain these too if you need even more ports. Worth the money, time and investment. Read more

This one works! I bought this after the first one I received from another supplier was D.O.A.. This one has 8 USB-C ports and 8 USB-A ports. That is twice as many as the other one that was dead. All of these ports are rated at 10gbps no 5gbps ports. Just keep in mind that all of the ports share only one pc port. Don't expect to get 16 devices communicating at the same time at 10gbps on every port. Just turn on the device you need with the push button switch next to the one that you want to use. Read more

I hate to say it, but this hub (at least the one I received) is garbage. I will give the manufacturer points for build quality, the hub seems to built well and using quality materials. Unfortunately, that's about where the positive news ends and as far as usability goes I cannot recommend this device. I've listed below the problems I experienced within the first 24 hours of usage: 1) The switches outright just do not work for many devices. I tried several devices which seem to somehow just "ignore" the switch being turned off. I put ignore in quotes, because the device should not be built in a way that would allow any attached device to communicate with the host while it's off. For some devices, the switch does work correctly. However, for other devices, I can plug a USB cable into the hub and have it persistently connected to the host no matter how many times I toggle the switch on and off. This is a key indicator that the device was not designed in a secure way. When the toggle switch is off, power and connectivity should be completely disconnected to the port. The fact that I am able to bypass the toggle switch is an indicator that some sort of firmware workaround is being used. Bad news here. 2) Power delivery does not seem to work correctly on the hub. I'm using the power adapter that was delivered with the device which is plugged into a stable power source. Some devices which require power delivery (USB-PD) get stuck in an initializing state when drawing power from the hub. They get enough power to appear powered on, but the device never initializes and the host system can detect something was plugged in but cannot interface with the device. When I switch these devices to a different hub (or directly to the host), the issue is not present and the device works as expected. 3) Even devices that do connect, seem to have issues with performance and/or connectivity. When some devices are attached to the hub, the host operating system seems to hang while the device is connecting. I experience this on about 1/3 of my attempts with any mass storage device, and some devices fairly consistently. When I do get a device to connect to the host, my transfer speeds are considerably lower than if I had used a different hub or connected directly to the host. All in all, I absolutely do not recommend this device. There are several clear indicators of poor and unsafe design when it comes to this hub, and I would not trust that it delivers power cleanly or that there's any consistent integrity on file transfers. Again, all of these issues were experienced within the first 24 hours of usage. I tested over a dozen different devices with this hub, of varying types and manufacturer. If I had this many issues straight away, I can guarantee it's not an isolated incident. Even if my hub was "defective", there's no way it would have been defective in a way that would selectively allow some devices to connect while toggled off. Let this be a warning to you! Read more
