One of my applications requires fourteen USB cables/ports. The HP ProDesk computer did not have sufficient USB ports therefore I purchased this 11 port hub. One port is for charging a device such as a cell phone. The other ten USB 3.0 ports are available for interface to the computer. Each port has an illuminated pushbutton switch for turning the port off/on. The hub is well made and has been trouble-free. I bought two of these because there are plenty of ports, and the lighted switches make multi usb set up much easier and determinative. There is no easy way to share experiences here (software or AI conversations) so cannot just add how to talk to it for things like 10 microphones or 10 cameras or 10 sensors. Which is what I got these for. The one red lighted charge slot on the end is what I use for my cell phone. Kind of wish it was true USB C speeds. But good enough for now. will work great without power supply but much slower but will work on mouse keyboard game controller without power but most Har drive readers will require the power supply or it wont read them without power it works at sub1 speed with power usb 3 if plugged int a 3 port otherwise most likely a usb 2 had mine for a few years works still great product but yea if you ned it for portable use on a laptop with 1 usb port it will run keyboard mouse and game controller without power just not usb 3 flash cards but may read usb 2 at slower speeds but not stable Read more
