This is a very nice powered USB hub that provides sufficient power as well as connection to my computer to control up to 7 devices. It is high quality heavy construction with great functionality to power on or off each device. Even if you unplug the power supply to the hub, the devices will still have active connection to the computer from the computer 5v power, however if you power off the individual units the connection to the computer is terminated as designed. Bought to open up some ports on my aging laptop. I'm only using it for low-bandwidth devices and it seems to be just fine. It comes with an adapter if you want to plug it into a USB-C port, but I don't know what impact, if any, that has on speed. I don't see the value of having the on/off buttons for each connector, but the blue LEDs look nice. This is a powered hub but it operates just fine without the power connected. I just wanted to reduce the load in my laptop; perhaps a bit overkill. The build quality is good and really no complaints. Read more

This hub has performed as described, so far. I have had two similar hubs from other suppliers that died within 6 months. I have high hopes for this one. I like the on/off switch on each port. Compatible for use with modern laptops that have one or no additional USB ports. The capacity allows for additional devices without compromising power or data. The speeds are not lost with additional devices. The lights at night can be a bit bright for some, but it is a great ambient night light😂. The cord length is also long and great for Desktop PC's that are further away. The long cable does not compromise the data either. Overall this Powered USB Hub works very well.
