I liked the one I bought for my PC so much, I bought another for my Macbook. I like that hub supports 3.x on every port and each is labeled so you know what to expect (FYI: blue plastic on the inside of USB plugs/cables = 3.x...but the ports are clearly labeled as to which ones support charging and which ones are 3.2, etc). I really appreciate the "on/off" buttons for each port. I'm a software developer and often find myself connecting/disconnecting different devices. At first I though 10 ports was maybe overkill....but I was wrong....I've had the ports full on more than one occasion (multiple MIDI devices that I was developing software for). It is nice to just leave things plugged in, but switch them off with the buttons. It's worked flawlessly for me. Read more

The Hub itself I really like the design and solid feel of with the aluminum casing. The buttons are much more tactile than the other hub I have and I do use them to turn on and off devices. I also like the ability to disconnect the power supply cable and the USB cable so that the hub can be more conveniently stored if I need to travel. I also like that Crystal registered the replacement hub for their lifetime warranty. Overall I went from being dissatisfied to a very satisfied customer because Crystal at customer service took the time to listen to the issue, provide feedback, send out a new Hub and followed up to ensure the issues was resolved. I give Crystal @ VegetaZ Customer Service an A+ After my issue was resolved with the defective cable, I give the NIAO-CHAO hub an A+. I will update my review if there are any issues in the future with the hub. As for now, the NIAO-CHAO hub has replaced my other hub as my new go to hub for USB extension needs. The NIAO-CHAO 5 port powered USB hub sold by VegetaZ arrived on time. It was sufficiently boxed to ensure it would not be damaged during Amazon delivery. When the hub was unboxed it appeared to be just as nice quality as had been advertised. When the unit was plugged in everything appeared to be good to go. However after some testing with USB 1.0 and 2.0 devices none of the USB 1.0 or 2.0 devices worked. Only USB 3.0 devices worked which led me to believe that the hub was not really USB 2.0 compatible. I reached out to support to let them know what had happened. I received an email the following day from Crystal who asked me to tell her why I believed it wasn't working. I explained everything and sent pictures. It happened that I had another 5 port hub with smart charging which I compared it to. No dice. Only 3.0 was working. Crystal agreed to ship me another hub which arrived in 5 days. I immediately tested out the new hub and it worked for USB 3.0 and for USB 2.0 for a couple minutes before USB 2.0 stopped working. I was ready to give up when I realized that I had used the cable from the original Hub and not replaced the original cable with the new replacement hub cable. As soon as I swapped out the cable both USB 3.0, 2.0, and 1.0 devices were all working just fine. It turned out that the cable had a broken wire in the lower portion of the USB B connector so only USB 3.0 devices would work. Problem solved. Bad cables happen every once and a while. The cable itself seems to be a decent cable so it appears to have been a one off QC blip. Read more

I bought this to use with my GPD Win 4, but ended up using it with my main PC. The power delivery is great for my Quest battery docks and the I/O makes accessing my ports much easier than reaching behind my PC! The main complaint is the power cables brick being in an inconvenient spot on the cable, making it a bit hard to use with a standing desk. Having it towards an end of the cable would make it much less heavy if you leave slack. The buttons make it very easy and convenient to manage devices, like turning off certain 2.4ghz transmitters to reduce interference when not in use. Read more

When I first started using it I was very satisfied. All of my external hard drives were readily accessible. Recently, I keep having to unplug them and reinsert them into the hub to get them to be recognized. Not sure if it's the hub or my laptop. I just know it's annoying. It's easy to use, and I like the look as well as how it's designed, I just wished it worked consistently. The cord is very long and use is simple. You just plug stuff in and go. The USB cable it comes with was pretty short, too short for my use. I recommend getting a longer one that can handle the appropriate speeds because it does transfer data pretty fast. Read more
