Product Review – PowerPrime 11 lb Weighted Vest I’m really happy with this vest! It fits comfortably, and the adjustable Velcro strap across the chest keeps it secure without sliding around. The weight feels well-balanced so it doesn’t put too much pressure on my shoulders. I’ve been using it for walks, light runs, and bodyweight workouts, and it’s been great. The breathable neoprene material keeps it from getting too hot, and I love the little mesh pocket on the back for my phone. Read more

This 11 lb vest does what it's suppose to by adding resistance during my walks. The adjustable straps on the front and sides are a nice feature. I'm a XXL and was pleased to find that it fit me as another review said it wasn't good for bigger bodies. That being said, the armpit area is a bit uncomfortable on me, but I can't tell if that's from the extra weight pulling down or if it's from the fit. I find my entire upper back, shoulder blades, and traps are fatigued after long periods of use, which I assume is a good thing and means it's working. I like that the weight is very evenly distributed and it doesn't feel heavier in certain places than in others other than in the armpit area. There are also reflective strips which is nice since the vest is black and would be hard to see at night. Read more
I wanted to add just a little extra weight/resistance to my walks. I don't really run with this, but I have. As far as the weight, I think this is perfect for what I need. I do resistance training in the gym and I like to also add this vest in my walks around the track in between sets just to keep that cardio up. On my outdoor walks I try to at least get about 3-4 miles in with the vest and I've tried a weighted pack, which I've used in the past to train for hikes, but the balance on this is much better. It doesn't pull on my shoulders and I feel like the weight is distributed how I need it, especially to avoid fatigue on those muscles and joints. For the price the quality seems great and out of the box I don't recall any smell. I've been using this for about five months now and wanted to wait until I at least had a "season" with it. I'm pretty lean and the fit is perfect, and although it's adjustable I would take into consideration that there's probably a limit, but I can't speak to it. The buckle on the front was a little finicky at first, but only after a few uses it got easier to clasp. This is a very simple piece of fitness gear to add to your rotation and it's surprisingly comfortable to wear. Read more
I ordered the PowerPrime 11 lbs. weighted vest for my wife to use on her walks. She is trying to strengthen her core to assist with improving her health due to being diagnosed with osteoporosis. She has used the vest on several walks so far up to 4+ miles and said that he really assists her in getting a better workout. The 11 lbs. vest doesn’t overly stress out her back, though she does feel the weight. Read more

This is a solid, heavy-duty addition to my workout space, especially for strength training exercises. The material feels soft and comfortable and rests over my shoulders without any issues. The weight is very noticeable—in a good way—and definitely helps to diversify my strength training by adding extra resistance without needing to hold anything in my hands. However, one major downside is the strap design. I’m both plus-sized and busty, and unfortunately, the straps are quite short. It was difficult for me to clasp them securely across my chest. It's clear this vest was designed with smaller, less curvy body types in mind. Thankfully, for the way I plan to use this—during relatively stationary exercises like squats, lunges, and planks—the clasp isn't critical. But if you're planning to use this vest for jogging, HIIT, or any activity with a lot of movement, the inability to secure the front straps could be a dealbreaker. That said, for stationary or low-movement strength training, this vest does the job very well. It's durable, weighted evenly, and comfortable across the shoulders, making it a great tool for adding resistance to home workouts Read more

I read that, as a general rule, you should start with weights that are equal to about 10% of your total body weight before progressing to something heavier, if ever. That said, I was suprised by the amount of fatigue I felt from wearing what I originally thought would be a light 11lb. weighted vest. In my opinion, this is probably one of the easiest & simplest things that you can do to add some weight training into your daily routine by just wearing it and going about your day. It works well for rowing, elliptical, rucking and VR workouts. Also, be advised that you are able to adjust the fit of the weighted vest - there are two straps on the back that can be tightened (or loosened) and I found it was more comfortable to wear once it was adjusted. Overall, a great option for those looking for a 11lb weighted vest! Read more
