Pretty but kind of oddly sticky

These are very pretty, as pictured, and they arrived on time. The weight seems accurate; I got the 3 kg ones, or 6.6 lbs each. However, the surface feels kind of odd, kind of tacky, in the sense of slightly sticky rather than of cheap quality. The quality seems high. I wiped them off thoroughly, so there was nothing on the surface. I'm hoping that the odd texture will disappear with time. All my other dumbbells are cast iron or chrome except for one pair that has a sort of rubbery, nubbly texture. It's odd how they can vary. Read more
