Beautiful, decorative, filing box. These were easy to build, are sturdy, and each box has metal runners you can put on for hanging files. Lid fits great and it is nice to have your files near you but with the lid on no would know they were files. I use one on the desk for every day files (they are big) and one in the closet for files we need to refer to but not daily. Hidden from others with cover and looks like a high end box. These can be used to store other items as well. I personally wouldn't move box with lots of files in the box. These are easy to carry and made of great material too. There was no scent when I received the box set, however, I did air them out to freshen them up. The gray is beautiful and each box has a place to write a label for the contents. Would purchase again. After reading other reviews about quality control issues I was a little nervous to buy this 2 pack hanging file box set, but I decided to try them out and I am so happy I did! At just over $20 each (41.99 for the set of 2) they are good value for money and are lightweight yet sturdy. I love how the hanging bars fit snuggly over the inside rims and you get two sets of US paper size and US legal size bars so you can choose which length bars to use depending on your needs - super versatile! The base and lid both fit snuggly - this product is designed well. I ordered 'Ivory' color, the fabric is a soft creamy oatmeal color and goes great with white, grey, dark or neutral color decor. Yes there is a bit of an 'off-gassing' glue smell, probably due to the cheapest glue they could find wherever these are made!? I am pretty sensitive but after airing them out for a few hours outside the smell dissipated a lot. They look simple and clean, unobtrusive and minimal, so a brilliant way to store all your paperwork! I am doing a massive paper purge KonMari style, so I will only put into these files what I really need to keep hold of! The rest will go into the shredder I just got, muaa ha ha.. I attach a picture of the files I bought to put inside the boxes (note the storage boxes do not come with files). I got 3 x 18 packs of Smead letter size in Steel Grey which is a really soft, pale stoney grey, that I feel compliments the Ivory boxes well, and spilt between 2 boxes feels like the right number of files. Holds even 3” width hanging folders well. Easily put together. Love the color, fabric, size and metal openings for transport (sturdy). Only one small fabric flaw found along upper side edge; as they are not for public view, it is fine. Collapsibility a space-saving plus if needed later; am not stacking, so no opinion there. Lids seem sturdy; will likely install straps along an edge to allow quick opening of lids (easy access) without lids going astray. Read more

BEST FABRIC FILE BOXES EVER! I much prefer the fabric sided ones than the white bankers box filing systems. I have used MANY of the years and tried these as they were on a sale. Hands down, the BEST file boxes I have ever used. STURDY! Hanging files fit beautifully, slide wonderfully and the lid actually FITS if you have top tabs on hanging files. A lot of other boxes you cannot fit the lid on if you are using tabs, but these are nice and secure. Look beautiful and WELL MADE! I ordered these boxes a bit skeptically. There just weren't many file boxes that both fit legal size folders AND had room for labeling, without getting squished by the lids. These look nice (I got the light blue); they are solid, yet collapsible; they are fabric covered, so soft. And they have a place for labels on both short and long side. I have mine in an armoir and they won't scratch the wood like a plastic box likely would. They look nice enough for open shelves. I am very happy with these file boxes! Read more
