I have used this for general residential electrical work ... primarily attaching 18 gauge wires to contacts on HVAC control boards. It is not only excellent for this application, but I can also remove larger screws on junction boxes by first using manual mode with screwdriver and then letting the motorized function take over with less torque. Everything about this kit is well engineered, including the bonus that the case is also the charging mode for the screwdriver. The tool set is nice, but the second time I tried to open the case, it would not open. There is no way to get a purchase on the tool holder to remove it from the case. It is stuck and, therefore useless. I was finally able to get the case open. I epoxied a block of wood to one end and was able to grip on the wood to pull it open. I. discovered the problem was that I had put the instructions in with the tools, and the instructions bound the case and prevented it from opening. A cautionary tale. This driver and set is simply amazing. I have purchased dozens of cheap micro drivers sets from the local big box hardware stores over the years and always wind up losing bits here and there until I give up and buy a new set. I was getting ready to take apart the resin tray on my 3d printer and it has nearly 50 screws when this item came up for me to review and the timing was perfect. I did not realize how much better a high quality driver is compared to a cheap one. So I got the package and this box has a surprising amount of heft to it. The case is metal and built very solidly. The driver is heavy and made of metal and all the bits are are held in place by magnetization. The other cool feature is the box has a built in way to demagnetize the bits when you don't want the magnet to interfere with sensitive equipment. The driver has a light at the tip, you can set this to use light when driving, or turn it off when driving or just use it as a light. Charging was quick with the usb port and has so far not needed a recharge after a few days. The power level on the display is a nice touch and the final thing I really like is in the storage of bits , each bit has its own label clearly marked. It sounds silly but it really helps me put them back in the location they need to be so that I don't mistakenly place it in there and then forget the other bit that I left out and wind up losing them slowly. The labels for the bits is a nice touch. The only negative was the tiny print on the instructions which was not a big deal. If you do a lot of repetitive work for micro drivers, this is the unit for you. Its been an invaluable tool in my 3d printing and it speeds up all my repairs and disassembly of parts. Read more
The media could not be loaded. Beautiful anodized aluminum case. Press a button on it and it pops open. It comes with a ton of bits that are magnetically held onto the case. Just push on the tip and the bit will tilt, allowing easy removal. The case itself is the charger for the screwdriver which saves desk space and protects the screwdriver. The tip is illuminated from all sides by multiple LEDs that can be turned on or off by a button on the end of the screwdriver. It is quick, with five torque settings and easy to reach forward and reverse buttons. The bits are held into the driver magnetically, with good retention. This charges with a modern USB-C cable and has four battery level indicator lights on the case. There is also an OLED screen on the screwdriver which shows information about the various settings. This is a great screwdriver set for electronics or small things like knives, and even has the hard to find small sizes of Torx drivers. It comes with some longer drivers too which are great for recessed screws. This product was really well thought out and would make a great gift since the presentation is so nice.
