This robe is somewhat of a disappointment. It is really expensive and with that cost I expected a high quality item. Sure it is really soft, and absorbent, more so than some other robes I've had but the material is disintegrating before my eyes. Fitment wise, it did fit as intended, and as I mentioned it is very comfortable, soft and absorbent. The material is not super heavy, it is about midway between a heavy towel and a light towel. Unfortunately due to the disintegration of the material I can't recommend this to anyone. I have to be honest, I am totally stumped by the price tag on this thing. I spent $170.00 on this "premium" robe because it was marketed as the ultimate luxury spa experience, but after using it for a while, I’m just confused. I was expecting to feel like I was wrapped in a cloud, but instead, it feels like I’m wearing a regular, somewhat rough towel. They talk a lot about this "Zero Twist" cotton technology, which is supposed to be the reason it costs as much as a car payment. Apparently, it means the cotton fibers aren't twisted together, which is supposed to make it super soft and absorbent. And don't get me wrong, it definitely sucks up water fast—I'm dry in seconds. But the "soft" part? I'm just not seeing it. It has that scratchy, stiff texture you get with an old bath towel that's been hanging in the sun too long. Maybe I’m not the "smartest" shopper, but when I pay nearly two hundred bucks for a bathrobe, I don't want to feel like I’m exfoliating my entire body every time I put it on. I even tried washing it to see if it would "fluff up," but it still feels pretty rough. For $170, I could have bought ten regular robes that feel about the same. Unless there’s some magic secret to making this thing feel expensive, I’d say save your money. It’s a functional robe, sure, but "luxurious" is a stretch. Read more
