The price of these more than doubled around the time of the first general lockdown, when it became clear that gyms all over the country were going to be closed. Only the stimulus allowed me to make this long desired investment in more dumbbells for my home gym. These ARE, however, the best of what's available. So far so good! Just got them so I can update soon. My only complaint would be the price. I’ve worked in sports gear and usually weights are sold at about 1.20 a pound but, my guess is shipping is expensive for 25lbs! So it likely evens out. Item as described. Good quality. The only reason I leave 4 stars is because of the smell. I keep them in my room and the smell is so strong that I needed to put them in a sealed plastic bag after every use so the whole room doesn’t stink. This is a standard set of 25lb hex dumbbells. They fit in my hand nicely (normal diameter handle) and they have good grip and aren't slippery. I ordered these 15 lb dumbbells because I'm just starting to ease into fitness for the new year and found that most sporting goods stores in my area were sold out. I was wary of ordering fitness equipment online, but have to say that I'm real happy with these. The box arrived at my house within the scheduled window, and although it was pretty beat-up the dumbbells showed no sign of wear.
