These straps are exactly what I needed for deadlifts and rows. The hook design gives a strong, secure grip so I can focus on the lift instead of my hands fatiguing. They feel sturdy, well made, and comfortable even during heavier sets. If you want extra support for pull movements or grip intensive lifts, these are a reliable upgrade. Read more

I am a natural lifter over 40. I’m was up to 385 lbs on deadlift and pulling the whole stack on lay pull down. The issue I get is tendinitis from overtraining my forearms incidentally from all the exercise. It definitely became a limiting factor. I bought these to make sure I don’t get tendinopathy. I’ll tell you my situation has improved. These are effective at saving my forearm on the high volume mesocycles and saving the grip for the intensive high strength mesocycles. They have never lost grip, not bent or given way, and I can dangle off of them with 90 lb weighted pull-ups without cutting off circulation. They have not shown a single bit of wear after all this time. Very effective. Well worth the price and appropriately priced. The favorite save is the shrugs. So much more weight without killing my forearms for the next day. The fit perfect in my hand. Read more

I am an older woman who has been doing strength training for decades, but not for competition or anything extreme. I have a normal, athletic body. I'm fit, but don't look like a body builder and don't attempt to lift extremely heavy weights. As I've aged, my hands, especially the thumbs, and wrists, have begun to hurt quite a bit. There are many tendons in the hands, which can become sore. Also, many of us get arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and trigger thumb. These devices have relieved the pressure on my hands and thumbs so much! It is so nice to lift weights without the pain in my hands and thumbs! I can see how these would be really good for more serious weightlifters, too. They allow you to really focus on the muscle you're working and let it do the work, rather than your hands and wrists doing the work. But I just want to make clear that they could be useful for less serious weightlifting, too, like what I do. I could even see myself increasing the weight on some of my exercises even though that was not my reason for buying these. On the downside, they do take some adjustment and you have to develop a technique for using them. That will take some time and trial and error. I did worry in the beginning that they were only good for underhanded lifting like a biceps curl, but I have found that they work for overhand grips and different angles . . . not all angles, but most. So, again, one downside is that they won't work for every type of lift, but that's inevitable because they have to have an opening for the bar. Read more

3 reps into an 8 rep set of trap bar deadlifts, the left strap tore. Causing me to drop the bar... which had been loaded with 450lbs of weight. I strained by back as a result and have not been able to get back in the gym, nor have I been able to get through to anyone regarding this. Return is en route. Read more
