This item works well. It does take a minute or 2 as I live in a place where the water is HARD and lots of LIME in it. So, yes.....be patient for the removal. I have only done the bathroom sink and the toilet.....the shower is next. My husband even commented that is smells CLEAN now. Read more

It definitely works, its just only very hot when it first comes out so the area yoylu can steam is very small. It does not steam my toilet seat very well or my grout but it did great on the microwave and cabinets. This is a great and handy little steamer- with a couple of things to be aware of, but overall still an excellent product. The good- this thing works for quite some time- enough to do a decent sized tile double shower with one tank. The bad- the attachments are ok at best- don't plan on the nylon brush lasting more than a use or two. All the bristles deformed. On the bright side, I have brushes to go behind the steamer with, making it not overly complicated. The power cable could be a little longer, but if you need more, you can always use an extension cord, so not really a problem, but just something to consider if the place you want to clean doesn't have a nearby outlet. The steam is just hot enough to be considered steam, however, I can attest that it does work on mold/mildew in hard to reach grout areas, as where I blasted it, it removed most, and it hasn't come back immediately like it usually does in a day or two after normal cleaning. I went at a distance to feel how hot the steam was and got closer to the nozzle without it being unbearable, but evidently it's still hot enough since it works. I am a bit concerned about the rubber bottom drain plug lasting with use/over time. If it does go out, I'm sure I can figure something out to either replace it or permanently seal it. Until then, I'm glad I got this, as it makes cleaning a bit easier than with chemicals that don't seem to do anything. That said, I'll call it an ok value and can recommend it if you're in the market for a handy little steamer- but will caution that there are a LOT of other similar looking devices, with various combinations of attachments, for significantly less, and if I had to guess, they probably have the same basic components- with the exception of the controls on the steam gun itself- which is a very nice feature worth some upcharge, but not essential if you're looking to save a bit.
