A great pair of well made, casual, and comfortable pants to sleep in and wear while lounging around the house is an item of clothing I always lookout for. In particular, I’ve been actively searching for a pair inspired by, and similar to, a pair of men’s boxer shorts; there are so many different variations online. I love their functionality along with the comfort they provide, but most of all, I love the way that a utilitarian, masculine style has been repurposed and transformed into a modern day, feminine staple. This pair from PrettyGarden is the most affordable version I have come across. I ordered them in the red and white stripe colorway, and in a size large. Right away, I was blown away by the overall quality of these pants. Anytime I order clothing, after receiving it, I carefully examine and scrutinize each part to try to gain a more accurate picture of its actual quality and value. I probably make a bigger deal than many other people would over some of what I find. But all of these details are relevant and important; even though at first glance they may not affect the appearance of the garment. Over time, with wear, these seemingly minimal flaws will become highly visible. At the very least, they offer up an indication of how quickly an item will begin to break down as well as how short or long its lifespan will be. These pajama pants were crafted almost flawlessly. The level of quality that they display is more often found on more costly items of clothing. The fabric they are made from is very lightweight and breathable. It has the look and texture of seersucker; the stripes are not only differentiated by color, but also by being incorporated into the tactile structure of the fabric. In addition to being light, the fabric is also very soft and smooth to the touch. These attributes make this pair of pajama pants very comfortable to wear and easy to move around in. They have just enough weight to add the right amount of warmth and cover at night without being too heavy. What impressed me most about these pants was the professionalism and precision in which they were assembled. The pattern pieces were cut seamlessly, and sewn together with obvious expertise. It was apparent that prior to stitching the bottom hems, both sides were measured to be sure they would not only be symmetrical to one another, but that the material included inside each hem would also be even and measured equally all around. Each seam has been sewn together tightly; every stitch is straight. They all lay perfectly flat, with every raw edge neatly finished. The elastic waistband is fairly thick, and sits right at the natural waist comfortably and securely. These pants have a wide leg and a slightly oversized fit that is appropriate to the purpose for which they were designed for. They fit exactly as I had hoped they would. I couldn’t be happier with what I got. These are offered in a few different colorways, and I am hopeful that they will continue to expand on those offerings over time. I definitely plan to order more colors. Overall, these striped pajama pants are an exceptional value; as they are currently priced, they are a steal. I ordered these hoping that they could be dressed up to wear to work. We wear business casual, so I wear palazzo pants, which is one way these were described. I don't know if I'm going to try it or not. They aren't really pajama pants, but they definitely aren't what I would call palazzo pants. They are a strange material. Think, curtains from the 80s. They are a little rough but also satiny? on the outside while having a satiny layer on the inside. The lining makes them too hot for pajama pants, but if it didn't have the lining, they'd definitely be see-through. There is a LOT of extra room in the crotch/front area. They would definitely need to be rolled at the waistband to be worn outside the house, and even then, it is still just odd-looking. I was really excited for these pants to come and quite disappointed when they arrived. I will probably just end up using them to hang around the house. Read more
