Classic, Reliable, and Makes Amazing Stovetop Coffee

I have switched from a Nespresso to a classic stove-top alternative! Even though my Nespresso is a faster alternative, I genuinely enjoy this little pot for a slow morning! Pros: -Brews rich, strong espresso-style coffee at home -Classic moka pot design feels authentic and timeless -Easy to use once you get the hang of it -Works great on gas and electric stovetops -Compact size, doesn’t take up much space -Much more affordable than an espresso machine -Perfect for Cuban and Italian-style coffee Cons: -Takes a few tries to dial in the grind and heat level -Handle can get warm if left too close to the burner -Not ideal if you want large amounts of coffee at once -Needs hand washing (no dishwasher) Overall: Primula Classic Stovetop Espresso and Coffee Maker is a fantastic option if you love bold, traditional stovetop coffee. It’s simple, affordable, and delivers that strong café-style flavor without the cost or clutter of a machine. A must-have for moka pot lovers. Read more

Fantastic Coffee Maker

First I bought the 6-cup size; then a few months later, the 12-cup. I've used the 6-cup about 50 times and it still functions perfectly. Cleans with relative ease. I bought the 12-cup size because I like this so much; it makes brewing strong espresso coffee simple and easy. With the 12-cup size, I'll be able to brew a batch for all of my coworkers each morning and share the coffee joy. Read more

This is an amazing fun and money saving product. We absolutely love this.

I really like this. I've been using capsules for my afternoon coffee, but this takes that to another level. Sure its a bit more work than capsules, but the coffee now is a delight. Making the expresso is easy, but doing it correctly is critical. Watch a few YouTube videos, and you will be an expert quickly. The taste is a 9.5 out of ten, but my cappuccino is about 40 cents compared to 6 dollars at about anywhere. And you rarely find a 10 out of ten in most coffee shops. Im using LaLavalla for about 8 bucks a pound, and it's fantastic. Buy a rechargeable mixer for about 10 bucks, and cappuccinos and lattes are easy pezzee. I use a larger coffee cup, heat up the milk in the microwave for about 30 seconds, and froth it in the cup. I'm waitng for a seven dollar metal pitcher to make the frothing easier and less messy (my fault). So 20 bucks for the moca pot, 8 bucks for the coffee, 7 bucks for the pitcher, and 10 bucks for the frother. 45 dollars is the final cost for everything. You'll easily get about 30 cups for the pound of coffee. At 5 bucks a cup, thats 150 dollars or more. So you save at least 100 dollars on the first pound of coffee, and who doesnt like saving over 1200.00 dollars a year. And it's truly satisfying to brew and create a cappuccino at home. Get this now. And its a perfect Christmas gift. Read more

Makes good coffee, unfortunate spout design

For background, I used a Bialetti Moka Express for many years but it started giving me more and more trouble, I was always replacing parts, it made coffee inconsistently despite me trying all kinds of tricks. Eventually I gave up and made coffee other ways. Then a few months ago I was visiting a friend who was using a no-name moka pot which seemed to work great for him, and it reminded me how much I loved this style of coffee. So I decided to try this one. I've been using this Primula model pretty much daily for about 3 months now. It makes good coffee every time. The six-cup model is perfect for one cup of very strong coffee, which is what I drink. There are a couple design divergences from Bialetti, presumably for copyright reasons. Some are inconsequential, like it being ten-sided instead of eight. However, the Primula spout design is a pain. The spout has a little lip on it that forces you to pour the coffee very slowly; otherwise it runs down the side of the pot and spills everywhere. This is a small but consistent annoyance, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars. If unlike me you can pour patiently it won't be an issue for you. Read more

Quality Moka Pot

I love my new Primula Classic Stove top Espresso and Coffee Maker. I combed all of the various Moka pots on Amazon and else where. The one I previously had was light weight and made excellent coffee. This pot which was more expensive was worth it. It has some weight to it, makes a perfect cup of coffee to which I add a little hot water for the perfect Americano. Do read the directions: Do not wash with detergent, do not pack down the coffee when you. put it in the filter, and do not let the flame come up around the base. The handle was never to hot to handle when I took if off the stove. You will love this Moka Maker. Love it! Read more

Good coffee pot alternative

I've been a big Nespresso user for years but finally was sick of paying so much money for coffee every day, so wanted to try something new. I only make one cup a day so didn't feel like I needed a full coffee maker and it felt like this one fit my needs well. I will say the first several cups of coffee I made in this I ended up pouring out as there was a metallic taste to the coffee. I had to play around with the type of coffee, how much coffee grounds I was using and making sure I only used filtered water and the taste definitely improved some. Every once in a while I still notice a bit more of that metallic taste which I don't love, but I think as I use it more that seems to be going away. Other than that it has been great for just making a cup at a time. Read more
