We got a large batch of these knobs, in brushed nickel, enough to deal with 12 interior doors, part of a complete house repaint, and wanted fresh, new hardware for all the doors. We got a number of non-locking and a few locking knobs to match, all from Probrico brand, and we really like 'em. Very nice quality and materials, a good value for the money. They feel like they'll last a good long time, the mechanical action is clean and well-made. Recommended for sure. I got this to replace a tarnished handle on our bathroom door. This was easy to install and the instructions were clear. The only unexpected thing was the striker plate that goes in the doorframe was a bit larger than the old one from the previous brass handle. I guess those aren't a standardized size. For now this handle works fine using the old striker plate but I'm going to buy a chisel and enlarge the relief so I can use the one that comes with this kit. Read more

Two have jammed up!!! First time the bathroom door knob got stuck in lock mode, caused my daughter to become frantic stuck in the bathroom! I am grateful we have a bathroom window because she had to crawl out of the bathroom window!! We had to remove the entire door to open it. Second door knob was our master bedroom! My husband was stuck in the bedroom while we had dinner guests over and he had to also escape through our bedroom window and come into the house through the back door…freaking embarrassing. We ended up having to buy an entire new door because we had to bust the door on off the door . This is a serious issue with the malfunction of these knobs especially if there was an emergency situation like medical or a fire!!! Beware of buying these malfunctioning door knobs!!! Read more
