Super cheap and works amazing! I put just enough water in the bottom to cover it then I put one cup of raw broccoli florets and baby carrots, fastened the lid and microwaved for 3 minutes. While the lid is still attached you can drain the excess water. The veggies were perfect! Highly recommend! Very sturdy and perfect for quick snacks or a side for a meal. It only has a four cup storage capacity so you might want to get a bigger one if you have a large family or if you need to cook more than 4 cups at a time. I have this Reneechef microwave cooking pot in 2 quart and 3 quart size so I had to have this mini 1 quart pot and I must say it is perfect for holding the contents of one can of condensed tomato soup prepared with adding a can full of water or milk. The inside is very smooth so it washes well and things never stick; I hand wash everything because i do not have a dishwasher. The lid is special because it locks into a channel on both sides of the pot to insure the lid stays securely on the pot and the side fingertip handles are a must for lifting in and out of the microwave, ours it the kind that is up above the stove. So why 4 stars? Well I do not believe it is a great value at almost $20 for a small 1-quart plastic cooking pot but I love everything else about it. Read more
