I want to say that despite my poor review the manufacture graciously reached out to me to try to make things right. Because of their commitment to customer service I have upped my rating to five stars. Yes the design is still a concern but I really believe their engineers will take action to correct the design flaw and ultimately be worthy of a five star rating. I have bought half a dozen humidifiers over the years and on the up side this one is extremely quiet and efficient. On the downside the only way to fill it is to, literally, take it apart. You have to totally remove the tank, unscrew the cap, fill it (with a pitcher as it is too big to put in a sink), screw the cap back on and put it back on the unit. We have never owned a humidifier that you could not easily fill ... lift a door, pour water in and you're done. So you have to weigh if the hassle to fill it is something you don't mind dealing with. Like I said it is quiet (except for a bubbling sound a few times an hour) and you can change the direction of the air flow and adjust the humidity level easily, so if it were not for the difficulty in refilling it I would have given it 5 stars. The media could not be loaded. Works amazing. Been having it for about a month and no issues so far. It's easy to use & clean. It has a light which you can turn on & off. You're able to move which way you want the mist to go! very convenient since I prefer it to hit my plants. It's very quiet but it does make like a gurgle sound every 10 minutes or so. It's not loud thought I truly don't mind it. It's definitely the water refilling or some sort. Read more
This humidifier has a sleek design. It operates quietly, with the exception of occasionally "glugging" sounds, which can mildly startle or possibly disrupt a very light sleeper who is not accustomed to the sounds. It is important to ensure the base is not full of water when refilling the top with water, otherwise, the mist does not come out. The electrical cord could be a little longer - we have to use an extension cord, depending on where we set this up in our home. A user of the device can adjust (increase or decrease) the level of mist output and the direction of the mist, which are both nice features. I purchased when a discount was offered and feel the product is good for the money. Read more
I had been looking at fancier humidifiers that I could set to different humidity levels but this one was on sale for $30 and was less than half the price of the others. Figured why not, since I already have humidity meters all over my living room (I have a lot of houseplants) and I was pleasantly surprised! In the winter the humidity in my living room takes a dive down to 15% humidity and this thing bumps that up to at least 30% typically if I'm running it 24/7 (one fill last probably around 24 hours). By no means do I think the product is deficient, but rather I was silly for thinking it would raise my 400 sq ft room up to 70% or that any single humidifier could, no matter what I set it at. If it goes on sale again, I might pick up a second one (and I will have still spent less than on a single fancy one). It's probably the easiest humidifier I've ever had to clean! Huge opening I can get my hand into and if you follow the cleaning instructions it comes with, I hardly even have to descale any mineral build up, even with hard water. The only off thing was weird that it had a different brand name on it (Homech?), otherwise it looks exactly exactly the same as pictured. But again, $30 for a tank twice the size of the $30 ones in store so I won't look a gift horse in the mouth. Read more
It works really well. The mist is sprayed fairly high and even the minimum setting puts out quite a bit. It's very quiet but you do hear the occasional dripping in a quiet room. I really like the built in handle, it's not glued in like some others. Very sturdy, and you'll need it since the tank holds a good amount of water. The wide mouth makes it easy to fill and clean out. great unit. steady and sturdy. A bit hard to clean but is manageable by an old powered toothbrush. Cleaning is also is spaced out. I do it every two months. this my second unit and both units do their work well . Read more
Works very well. Large water tank. I been running it medium and it lasts around 24 hours. Only had it a few days so don’t know it’s durability. So far we are happy with it. We also have the 4 L and love it to. Only con the 6 doesn’t have a humidity light like the4 l. Update: This things got a awful gurgling sound several times a hour. Woke me up a few times. Also noticed a bit of leakages from bottom so I set it on a towel. It does put out a lot of mist . I’ll update more later. It started out really well but going the wrong way now.m Read more
This is the third homech humidifier Model:HM_AH003 that I own. winters are cold and heating dries out the air in my home. This humidifier is very quiet and is easily dialed into the perfect amount of cool mist. I have one in my family room, primary bedroom and open concept living area. To avoid white powdery residue from cool mist you can use distilled water or I use filtered water from my refrigerator; I have found that works nicely for me and I have not noticed white residue which resulted from using tap water in the past. Very cost effective compared to other brands and so easy to clean and fill. Read more
