Do not use these boots in any kind of snow. I knew they were just water resistant, but I didn't anticipate the extreme leakage that happened after walking in minor slush puddles. They were able to withstand 10 minutes in a downpour but barely. But you all knew that. They still get 4 stars because these are the one pair of boots that are a true women's 4E and my deformed bunioned, hammertoed feet really appreciate not being in pain. They fit my orthotics and a heavy sock that prevents slippage in the back. The tongue pad does not slip up into the shoe and the shoelaces stay tied. A Christmas miracle!!! I'll use these for my dress shoes (believe it or not). I finally have an ankle booty to wear with skirts which I'd stopped wearing. I just got another pair of the Dani's. Really comfortable shoes. So far I missed bad rain so I don't know if they're really waterproof, but they are warm and comfy. I didn't notice that they have a zipper so you don't have to tie them each time, but they do have ties so you can adjust the fit. I removed the insoles they came with and inserted my custom insoles and they are just right. People say they look nice, so I guess I'm ready for winter. The only drawback is the soles are so thin that you can feel every bump in the sidewalk. I wish they had thicker soles. I don't know how long they'll last. Read more

Some brilliant boot designer finally combined all the design aspects that make a wonderfully, comfortable boot. Fasten the strings where you have a great fit JUST FOR YOU. Then never again. From now on, zip your boots, from the inside of your foot, where it's easy to reach. No more reaching for the outside of your foot to zip, just so that some designer and make a statement on your boot. THIS BOOT WAS MADE FOR PRACTICAL WOMEN! Pros: This is my THIRD pair over the past 10 years of this shoe! They wear well., the water resistance holds up, warm. I wear them until toe area really roughed up and then replace. This last pair was ordered in usual 8W .. then returned for 8WW so that heavier socks can be worn. Even with regular socks, very comfortable out of the box. Boots are Pretty {I have black}, and Propet modernized with a more squared off toe this year. Much more toe room ~ Cons: prior 2 pairs had thinsolight for insulation. No longer. I have had multiple broken bones in my feet (ballet and klutziness when young), so now finding boots that I can get my feet into can be a real challenge. These are great! The zipper on the side makes them easier to get on while the functional laces evoke classic ski boots and allow them to tighten up. They’re warm, kept my feet dry and felt secure on wet pavement and grass (haven’t tried in snow or ice as yet). Glad I found them! Read more

The side zip, adjustable laces, removable insoles and soft material allow these boots to fit over a bulky AFO. The Wide did not seem wider than a regular, and were a bit too snug. X-Wide was perfect. Also weatherproof, well made and nice looking. A rare find!! Read more
