The media could not be loaded. I have a long video about these boots. Width in shoes is extremely important to me. I have a permanent pinky toe injury from healing incorrectly. And I normally need wide shoes but my right foot specifically could use a little bit more. The boots are very cute, they have a nice rubber outside to protect from snow. I think they would do good with heat. If you do not have wide feet or just wide (not extra wide) I would get the extra wide if you want to wear thick socks in them. In my video I have on Haynes socks and my foot is comfortable and then with it I have lots of wiggle room. The wait is not bad it’s what’s expected for a good snow boot. I have wide feet, I mean seriously wide feet (6 1/2 EE) and finding shoes that fit has always been a struggle. Finding cute boots has never happened for me before this. But, people, these boots are AWESOME! They are cute, they are water proof, they are warm and they are WIDE! They feel great and don't squeeze, pinch or make my feet hurt. I wore them for six hours at work (I brought my old tennis shoes just in case.) I am on my feet the entire time and not once did my feet hurt! Propet makes sturdy and reliable footwear, and this is no exception. There are three things to consider with these boots, depending on the weather in your area. First, there is a circle of synthetic fur around the top, allowing dampness to seep inside if it's raining. But it helps keep your feet warm in cold, dry weather. Second, this is an ankle boot. If you have wide feet and want a comfortable boot for winter, this is it. These are also waterproof, warm, and have great traction--even with ice. Easy to slip on and off your feet at the doorstep. Update 2019: This year we are having real cold weather very early. We have had ice, snow, and below zero wind chill in early November. And my boots, wearing fleece lined tights and medium weight socks, have left me in the wicked cold. The cold radiated through the sole of the boot and I was miserable. Immediately I ordered a pair of sheepskin insoles. They fit perfectly, but with lightweight socks were too thick. Just walking inside the house the boots rubbed the top of my feet, my heels, toes, and sides of my feet. I specifically chose insoles that weren't super thick or fluffy. They can't be cut down as they are sewn onto a stiff backing to hold them in place. So the insoles will go back. The boots? I will try thick socks, and search other insoles to see if a different material will work. Or donate them and shop for another pair. Original post: this fall, I was determined to find boots for ice, snow, and icy wet conditions that would not look out of place for traveling, business, and other going to-and-fro where I could easily step out of them and put on indoor shoes. I found what I needed in the Propét Lumi Ankle Zip Snow Boots. The price was right. I found a neutral color, and the short front zipper is easy access: I am not likely to snag my tights or socks in the zipper, and I am able to change from boot to shoe and back again very quickly. Other comments on Amazon stated the faux fur lining was slippery. It is, but it lines the whole boot and is not just a decoration around the top. The weight of socks you choose helps. The boot will accommodate my orthotics comfortably, but the support is is such that I haven't used them. When the package arrived, I found the soles to be very inflexible so that it felt like I was walking in cee-ment shoes. Heavy duty waterproof boots. Love and hate. Walked for miles at a snow festival for several day in snow, on ice, and through slushy puddles of melted snow. Loved how warm, sturdy and waterproof these boots are. The zippers make it so easy to slip on/off. But the boots were so heavy on my feet, it was like wearing ankle weights during a workout. By the 5th day, my body got used to it, but I'm sure I would have not slowed down had it not been for the heaviness. I love these ankle boots. Unfortunately, I can't fit my foot in them because the zipper doesn't come down far enough on the vamp to open it wide enough to easily slip my foot in. I have very wide feet and thick ankles. I thought by getting a half size larger and the XXWide they'd fit. Returning them. All I have to wear for winter "boots" are the leather Travel Walker by Propet. Can't find anything else that fits. ☹️ Read more
