It's hard to know what to expect w these military items/tactical brands. I've not bought anything from this brand before and not being a veteran, I've also never owned a boonie hat and it sounds like a lot of them are just sold OSFAand with synthetic fabrics. I was just looking for something a little more protective than dad caps for the Florida summer. This thing is baller. It fits AWESOME (size 7 1/4), the fabric feels nice, and seems quality. Leather retainer on the chin strap is a nice touch. This should work perfectly for outside work and dog walks this summer. Read more

I bought this hat because my wife likes to watch Bachelor in Paradise and this guy names Dean who gets all the girls because he’s good looking wore a similar one. I’m 41 and I’m way past my prime. I cannot stress enough that I do not look like dean in this hat. His was probably more expensive and a little nicer but this hat overall was cool for a couple weeks. I don’t wear it anymore it just sits in my linen closet with the others but I went through a hat thing because I was letting my hair grow trying to recapture my youth but mainly that’s just sad and we should embrace the change. Like I’m sure Dean will eventually grow old and lose his chiseled abs and watch old episodes of bachelor in paradise with his old wife and eat Cheetos and be like damn I was in pretty good shape back then. This is a great boonie. I have a couple from rothco and two proppers. I really like the proppers. All cotton, quality made. Fits and looks great. I have two, a size 7 1/4 and a size 7 1/2. The smaller one fits well. The larger one also fits and could be shrunk slightly in a dryer. Great product. Read more

Nice boonie hat. Pretty close to regulation boonie hat but it is not government issue. Not made in America. Overall it's good for the price but if you wore the real thing you will notice differences. I'm very picky about clothes that are clones of GI gear. For the price its worth it. You can't beat 14 bucks compared to some of these places selling "authentic GI boonie hats" for 60 bucks.
