Outstanding product. Material stretches with me as I move so I never feel binded. The 2 front pockets for phones and/or flash lights are also nice and roomy. I keep my iPhone 7 Plus there and it fits with maybe 1/2 inch sticking out. And I was pleasantly surprised, when I sit down it moves out of the way. The slash front pockets have an area for knife/flash lights clips built in so the pockets last longer and carrying a knife or flash light or keys there (or anything with a built in clip) is more comfortable. The cargo pockets have built in pockets for AR magazines but it’s not too much of a problem to move them out of the way to put my wallet or other items in. The only issue I have with these shorts is I feel like they simply make them from the pants and I like my shorts a little roomier in the legs but even that wasn’t enough to make me not give it 5 stars. I bought 1x 52, 2x 54, and 1x 56. The 52 and 56 are true to size and accurate. One of the 54's is identical to the 52, the other 54 is identical to the 56. Seems like 54 might not actually exist? Or QC is bonkers. That being said, I can wear everything I purchased at various times because my weight fluctuates, and they are extremely well made shorts. Read more
These really are nice shorts, and I DO like them. But I have to knock a star off for one issue: The knife pockets are way too inset. 5.11 Taclite/ABR pants/shorts are an example of a PERFECTLY positioned knife pocket. On the Propper, they are way too close to the crotch, and it can make sitting down uncomfortable with any knife larger than a Para 3. Also, the material they use for the pockets doesn't seem as tough as the pant material. And speaking of 5.11, they put a knife pocket on the right side and a mag pouch on the left. To me, that's ideal. While I am not opposed to dual knife pockets, it would be nice to see something like that. Are these great shorts? Yes. They are. They're comfortable, they seem durable, they do a GREAT job of keeping your shirt tucked in, better than any other company out there. They line the waist with this silicone-like strip that will whistle if your run your finger over it. Time will tell how long that strip will last, though. For as long as it will, it does a GREAT job of keeping your shirt tucked in. I really do like them, and I will likely buy more. But it would be nice if they beefed up the material on the knife pocket and moved it an inch or so to the right. Read more

I rarely write reviews unless the product is better than expected or extremely unsatisfactory. In this case the product is better than I expected. These are great shorts, very robust & comfortable. If you carry a concealed firearm on a daily basis you know how much of a benefit clothing designed for that purpose is. These shorts were definitely made with that in mind & make carrying that much more comfortable. Very happy with my purchase & will be buying some more in other colors. Read more
By far the best tactical shorts I have owned. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars is the button closure. The manner the button is mounted makes me afraid they won’t last long. I've bought several pair of these pants, and was delighted to see they had shorts. They're the perfect length. They breathe and flex, just like the pants. Plenty of large pockets, and seem to resist getting dirty. Love 'em. Pictured are the pants (I use them for both work and casual. They were great on our hikes.) Read more
