Practicability - Simplicity - Versatility

EikerNovember 7, 2025✓ Verified purchase

I’m so pleased with the bar. The bar is self-locked thanks to the simple mechanism of applying force towards both sides of the doorframe, which is wonderful because a stable doorframe is all you need to start your favorite training. Some cracks on my doorframe can be seen in the photos due to the required torque to keep it firmly mounted and they actually cause no harm to the door, at least for me. It comes with two caps and enough screws in case you want to have it mounted fixed on surfaces that provide insufficient friction to hold up or to support greater body weight. Slip resistance? Good, I’m sweaty hands and still comfortably uncomfortable with it, a little bit of off-grip can train your grip. Adjustability? Just as advertised. Weight Support? Not tested beyond 150 lbs, but I believe it will hold up strong under greater load with its solid build. Most importantly, I’m 5’6”, ~ 154 lbs, almost ideal to hang from this bar mounted on a doorframe in my perspective, taller people might struggle to maintain good form between reps. Overall, a must-have for calisthenics lovers. Read more

It’s not safe for anyone! Deadly accident

KinMarch 30, 2026✓ Verified purchase

I never write reviews, but this bar almost caused a big accident for my kid. First, it cracks the door frame which others have mentioned as well, as u can see in the pics. I thought my kid is petite 9, so it might not be of any harm to the door, but it was! Secondly, it doesn’t stop rotating, even after fixing and tightening the screws! As a result, the size of the bar (which is adjusted by rotating it) can keep changing with kids hanging on it, which makes the bar rotate and get shorter, making it come out of the brackets anytime! As you can see in the pics, the bar fell off leaving the rubber lining inside the wall bracket, which is supposed to keep the bar in that bracket. My kid fell so hard on the floor, luckily the bar fell on the other side and not on her. We are just past 1 month, so can’t even return this junk. Please don’t buy this for your kids safety. Great value.

I recently installed the ProsourceFit Heavy Duty Pull-Up Bar, and I’m impressed with how straightforward the process was from start to finish. This was one of the easiest fitness equipment installations I’ve done. With a standard drill, a level, and a measuring tape, I was able to get it mounted in under 20 minutes. The pre-drilled mounting holes aligned perfectly, and the included hardware was more than adequate for a secure fit. The instructions were concise but clear, with diagrams that made it easy to double-check measurements and mounting points. I’ve been using it daily for standard pull-ups, chin-ups, and leg raises. The bar doesn’t flex or creak, even during explosive movements. It feels gym-quality in a home setup. Read more

Great but not perfect

Hillel TranNovember 7, 2025✓ Verified purchase

After almost 6 months of daily use, the bar is holding up so far, but that's probably because I use mainly a wide or shoulder-width grip and only with body weight(i weigh 190). The bar flexes and bends while performing explosive close chin-ups and single-arm hangs in the center, but the bar remains straight after. I upgraded the stud screws to 2-inch heavy duty wood screws. I only have 2 of the 3 screws in a stud on each end cap and the caps still haven't failed! LOL My friend has the same bar but he got an extra pairs of end caps for about the same price. Would have been nice to get those extra pair of end caps.. Will update if it breaks after more weight on the bar... Read more

For the NYC tiny hallway apartment

Simplify MANNOctober 18, 2025✓ Verified purchase

My narrow hallway is just about 22 inches wide, hard to find a pull-up bar system that meets the required allotted width. It's a solid well well-made product. Easy to install, the videos on YouTube were extremely helpful to plan out the necessary work involved. I did it all myself within 20 minutes. The cleanup took longer than the overall time used to drill holes and measure. Read more

Solid and adjustable

KC HikerJanuary 6, 2026✓ Verified purchase

Just mounted the doorway bar. It's solid and heavy. It's better than the bar I had before. This one adjusts on both end. Both end rotate in the same direction so that when the bar rotates both ends will either tighten or loosen at the same time. I mounted it so that the bar would rotate towards me as I hang, and the bar will tend to tighten. There are end caps that come with 4 screws so there's no danger of falling. Read more
