These are very well made socks! I have very wide calves and the stretch is perfect. Though not marketed as compression socks the fit like them. The thickness is great and they fit in my shoes while at the same time providing plenty of protection. They keep my toes warm and toasty and look fun while doing it. I suppose it's possible that they have a good bit of Merino wool in them, but you definitely can feel the polyester more. Both packs I got were much larger size than I expected, given the label. No one in my immediate family could even wear them, because the women wear women's eight or below, + my husband who is size 11 men's, said they don't feel comfortable on his skin. I ended up giving them to my sister and her husband, and they find them supportive enough for work where they stand most of the day, and warm. They're easy to put on, and definitely not too tight around the top, but offer a bit of compression for a crew length. Middling quality, and we will have to see how they last or get softer through washing. Read more
