These are great for anyone, regardless of strength level. The key to exercise and weight training is proper form, and many, many people sacrifice form just to get a few extra reps in, not realizing just how detrimental this is to their workout goals. Assistance bands like this aren’t just for beginners who need a little extra help, but they’re also for long term vets who have taught their body the wrong technique without realizing it. The bands themselves are well made and high quality, with several options for resistance. The bands connect via carabiner, and have a protective sleeve to prevent pinching on the skin. The four bungees allegedly provide 65-lbs of resistance, but I haven’t tested that. What I really like is how comfortable the foot straps are. This kit is great for working out at home, or for taking to the gym. Everything fits easily into the small compact travel bag, making it easy to get your reps in even when traveling. Overall, I can’t think of a single way to improve this design. It’s got everything you need, for a great price, and I highly recommend it. Read more

This pull-up assist has to be one of the best you can get. All the features this one has compared to my old one, I’m not sure how you would improve it. Starting at the bottom and working up, you get two foot pads that are big enough that I was able to put a size 11 steel-toe work boot in one of them. I also appreciate that the foot holes stay flared open, making it ten times easier than an assist bungee I already have. Next, you get four bungees rated to give 65 lbs of assist. One thing to keep in mind is that means you will need to raise this up and lift your leg pretty high to get the full benefit of the bands. So if you have the foot pads as low as they go, don’t expect this to magically lift you up. They have to be stretched to assist. The bands have a sleeve around them, so if one happens to break, it should help prevent it from injuring you. The bands are easy to remove or add with a carabiner-style connector. The upper part that you attach to your pull-up bar has a heavy-duty strap with a ring on one end and a carabiner-style connector on the other end that is adjustable. Having the large foot pads and knowing that if a band breaks, I’m not going to end up with a giant welp is two major reasons to get this. My old pull up assist officially is retired. Read more

A compact and effective set for developing your pull-up progression. This set really hits a lot of marks, the first being that it has adjustable cords included, the second is that it comes with ALL the pieces you need for a full pull-up assist, and the third is that it is compact and all the parts fit into one small bag. I can take this to the track, and use it on the pull-ups bars...or bring it to the gym, and not have to worry about getting a thick PU assist band, or waste money on buying multiple different bands (that take up a lot more space). This also doesn't SMELL like the thick rubber bands, and you don't risk ripping off skin if your feet slip. The foot stirrups are SEWN TOGETHER, so your feet won't split apart too significantly, and you can get both feet in pretty easily. This is ideal for home gyms, traveling, personal training, and assisted pull-ups. Probably not necessary for advanced athletes who don’t need pull-up assistance. The fabric knee/foot rest makes a noticeable difference in comfort compared to traditional rubber bands. The different resistance levels allow for gradual pull-up development while maintaining proper form. Quality: The bands feel durable and resistant to overstretching, even under heavier load. The orange "belt" is soft and seems to be made of cotton. Pros: • Multiple resistance levels • Comfortable fabric support • Great for pull-up progression • Foot supports are sewn together in the belt, so your feet won't fall away from each other Cons: • The cotton-like belt fabric may be prone to stretching over time, but it doesn't seem like it will be a huge issue. I use these at home on a standard pull up bar a few times a week. I have always struggled with pull ups, so I wanted something easier than rigging regular resistance bands. These make it simple to jump in and start a set without a lot of setup. The biggest difference is the foot sleeve. It feels more stable than standing on a loose band and way more comfortable on your foot or knee. The assist feels smooth and controlled, not jerky. Using one or two bands is perfect for working toward unassisted reps. It is definitely better than trying to adapt basic resistance bands for this job. Pros are the foot sleeve is comfortable, setup is quick, assistance feels consistent, and it works well for daily home workouts. The bands and hardware feel solid and not sketchy. Price feels fair for what you get. The only downside is the setup takes a little dialing in the first time to find the right height and band combo. Once that is done, it is easy. I would recommend this for anyone trying to build pull up strength at home without a full assist machine. Read more

This set of pull up assistance bands is exactly what you need if you are working on strength or just want a little help on the bar. The different resistance levels make it easy to progress. You can start with the strongest band for more support and work down as you get stronger. The bands feel durable and resist snapping or overstretching. They are long enough to loop securely around most pull up bars. They also work well for assisted dips, rows, and mobility stretches, which makes them very versatile. A solid, reliable set that helps you train smarter and build strength safely. Read more
