This is my dog's favorite wet food. I mix it together with his dry food, and he seems to love the texture and smell. He has a sensitive stomach, so I actually pair this with the dry version as well. It works well to not upset his stomach. I'd say it's a little expensive, but it works so well that I just keep coming back to it. It's consistent in quality from can to can, which is not something I can say for all wet dog food brands. Read more

I’m using this food to mix with kibble for dogs in boarding that don’t want to eat. It seems to be highly palatable. I’m not bothered by the smell or texture and it mixes easily. So far it has not caused any issues with dogs that have eaten it. Read more

Unless they need a prescription diet, Purina Pro Plan is what I feed all of my animals. Their food meets WSAVA guidelines (there are only five brands that do so last I checked) so I know they're all receiving a healthy, well-balanced diet made with quality ingredients. I have two dogs and both of them seem to enjoy this lamb and rice. The little one dances for it and the bigger one starts barking in excitement. The picture on the can is surprisingly accurate with large chunks of meat and a bunch of gravy. I mainly get this food for the smaller dog, a miniature schnauzer, because she often gets an upset stomach or itchy skin from a medication she takes for epilepsy. I do wish the food was also sold in smaller cans or a variety for tiny dogs because she simply can't eat a whole can and sometimes the chunks are so big, she'll start coughing if she inhales the food instead of chewing it thoroughly. My other dog, a 65 lb hound mutt, is always happy to finish the rest off though, so it works out in the end. I know Purina Pro is a bit pricier than a lot of other brands but in the long run my pets are generally healthy (schnauzer is 14 with no signs of arthritis or slowing down) and vets are always glad to hear they're eating what they do.
