Worked exactly as its intended, removed pesky abs system and installed in my 98 chevy k1500. Had to custom make the master lines to unit but came out great. If you go this route keep in mind the factory brake line fittings on both front lines and from the rear have to be changed. Just fyi Read more
DOES NOT COME WITH FRONT BRAKE BLOCK OFF CAP. Note; this portioning valve works 2 ways for the front brakes. There are 2 ports (unlike the rear). Each port can be used to isolate the left and right brake caliper if your system is designed that way. Mine isn't. One port operates both brakes. In this case, the other open port requires a block off cap. This unit did NOT come with one. I've ordered other units that do. I was able to use the block off cap from my old portioning valve. Replacement/upgrade for the old style steel portioning valve. Used this in other vehicles with no issues. Good Replacement, does the job 1979 GMC P10 Disc/Drum The mounting bracket and pre bent lines from the master cylinder to the portioning valve couldn't be used. Fortunately I was able to save the original ones that still did the job. This unit hangs from the master cylinder fine with no issues. Read more
This worked out well on my mother's 2000 Cadillac Escalade 4x4 5.7. The ABS module & pump were going to cost a ton of money to replace. This proportioning/ aka - Combination valve works great, just gut the ABS and all lines, and get new lines {Copper Aluminum} works great, no rust, easy to bend and install. Then get the flare nuts and flare them yourself. Amazon has a bunch of great bench vice flaring tools. I chose {OMT} Orion Motor Tech awesome tool, very high quality. I love their tools. So yes, the size is perfect, all brass, heavy duty, great price, and also I recommend If you're deleting the ABS. Read more
