This is a decent boom-box. I work as a courier and use this for work. The antenna is flimsy at best -expect it to break within the first week of use. The stereo is not bottom-heavy and tips easily. If the antenna is up when it tips over, it will bend. I also had the antenna come apart from regular (very limited) use. As I was pulling up on the top of it to extend it, the mast split at a joint. There are two small brass shims that hold the segments together and they give out very quickly. So if your antenna doesn't break off completely, it will fall apart at the joints. Reception is not good. It is good enough, but if you are charging the battery with a 12v DC adapter/120v AC, the radio becomes unusable. The user interface is not the best either. As others have mentioned, the volume resets when you turn the unit off. The presets are also not very user friendly. Even with the instructions right in front of me, it took me a while to figure it out -very clunky. For all of its downfalls, this is still a pretty good radio for what I use it for. I can stream music with bluetooth while charging my phone on the USB port, all while running off of 12v power in a truck. The battery power also comes in handy when there is no power source. Update: 90 days after purchase, I started having issues with the volume. It became erratic for a while and then was just very quiet. With volume turned all the way up on both devices (bluetooth), it is loud enough for a small indoor room. Amazon was awesome and returned it even though it was 90days past purchase date. The package was delivered when it was said to be expected. I wasn't sure if I had ordered a new or used one. either way the radio worked like new. The fake knobs on the top are just for decoration but when popped off it looked like a kid drew on them with a crayon. No big deal. I just put the knobs back on. This led me to think I ordered a used product. The bluetooth and and everything worked well. Simple to connect. Great sound. Easy charge up. I would recommend this product and seller. Read more
Not what I expected with a name like PYLE. Years ago I had a car stereo with an amp and Pyle speakers. I could crank the volume all the way up, no distortion, phenomenal sound!! This unit looks nice but is cheaply made. The knobs on top are for looks only. They don't even turn and serve no purpose at all except as decorations. The owners manual is almost completely useless. It is in broken English. Avery poor translation to English. Very difficult to understand. I have tried several times to set the presets, according to the instructions, to no avail. The sound is cheap and tinny. There is no way to adjust the tone. I would have expected a lot more from a name like Pyle. Pyle used to stand for exceptional quality and high quality sound. It really makes me wonder with the poor quality, and the very poor owners manual, if this is a "REAL" Pyle product. I will keep it for now, It will serve it's purpose as a radio w/ usb tot take to work. Just really wish it had better sound. Read more

I say Ba Humbug ! this is not a 300 watt amp!.. it is a real great idea ..it is Loud enough.. it has enough Bass..this is a Multi [ source ] plays "SD " [ memory card ] / flash drive[ usb ] /Bluetooth/ and will play other sources with the 3.5 [ aux ] jack.. FM radio/ Plus is Bluetooth ! What a great idea, I love this Pyle contraption for lack of another word. I am very happy with this product !!.. got it from Amazon [ like new ] for $ 75.00.. it's portable /take camping / sitting out by a fire etc... trust me ONE good speaker here .. so Ok if you want Bose go for it, but think of the money u will save ! Over priced non-performer. Total trash Tried all sorts of antennas to extend reception. Couldn't get any type of decent signal in this junk. Got better reception on almost every radio made that I owned even a 10 dollar cheapie. Never buy Pyle brand. Ended up tossing a $90 radio in the trash out of frustration Read more
