Had to write this review because of a previous review I saw stating the product has no brand name on the bottle/packaging. The brand name is clearly labeled on the bottom right of the bottle/packaging. The reviewer also stated everything written on the box was in “Chinese” when it is actually in Korean and English. The specific reviewer also indicated the ingredients were not listed in English which deterred the reviewer from first using it. The ingredients are labeled in English on the packaging which is actually evident in that reviewers video as well. I am not trying to shame this reviewer but it’s very tiring to see misleading reviews on here because people do not know about brand packaging aesthetics or how to read a box for that matter. Most cosmetics/personal care items are incorporating a minimal design which can be seen in most Asian and European beauty products. Even products in Sephora have minimal packaging and includes the ingredients only on the packaging so I am not sure how people are so “perplexed” by this packaging style. These are products you actually want to leave on your vanity or bathroom counter because not only are they beneficial to the skin they are also well packaged and beautifully designed. All in all I love this product and have been using this brand for years and had to clear the perplexing reviews. I have sensitive skin along with eczema and this has not caused any flare ups. It leaves the skin nourished and hydrated. The barrier cream and serum formulations contains an amazing blend of ceramides and soothing ingredients like centella asiatica that has helped to repair my damaged skin barrier. The serum and toner both have a viscous texture, so it is not watery/runny. The barrier cream is lightweight but is very nourishing for my dry skin. I tend to use the toner only x2 a week specifically on nights that I am NOT applying retinol as it does have AHA + PHA and Willow bark extract (a form of salicylic acid). I am no way affiliated with the brand just someone who loves reviewing beauty products to justify my shopping addiction. Also please watch some beauty content creators like Labmuffinscience it seems most people would benefit from learning from a professional/someone in the cosmetics chemist industry. I honestly am so disappointed in myself for NOT taking a before and after picture of my skin. This calming line is AMAZING and truly makes you feel luxurious and high end without breaking the bank. Oh! And did I mention it works WONDERFULLY! Personally I have sensitive combination skin and I found that just using the Pyunkang face wash, toner and calming serum was best for me (with the Beauty of Joseon calming serum too) to see great results. This kit comes with a moisturizing cream as well, but due to it adding too much extra moisture it was making me break out more so I'm skipping that last step. I will continue to use this brand until I die it is amazing. 10/10 it's effective and affordable so just give it a try! And remember that skincare is usually specific to the person so if something doesn't work just try a different one. It takes time but once you find It you'll feel much better! Read more
I’ve bought this set multiple times and it never disappoints. The whole moisture line is great, hydrating and calming to my excessively dry and sensitive (easily irritated and redness) skin without being heavy or causing breakouts. The serum especially is a whole experience, like giving your skin a tall, refreshing drink. I took off one star as the price has jumped over $10. Yes, that’s purely out of self-entitlement as I really loved how cheap this set was, but in reality the price is still affordable considering the amount of products and the quality. 10/10 do recommend! Great price, and the box arrived perfectly, inside and envelope. I recently bought the bigger size of the cream, and it is similar somehow, to a water gel that I used ages ago, when I was living in Japan. I bought a pair of very inexpensive serums, and the cream, it’s the perfect complement, for them! They are not creamy or anything like that, and this product create a really good balance, between the almost dryness that I was experiencing, with the use of the serums alone. I put a little bit of tonic, on top of my Prescriptive powder the effect is not the same as my primer from Wet n Wild, but it’s unfair, to expect the same, from a product that is different, it’s not a primer. I love Japanese face products, and I used to buy Korean ones too, because they are also good. They are fragrance free, just a clean smell, a lighter texture than traditional creams, to me that is effective, because it’s easier to use serums, when you are mixing things up. The texture of the “cream”, is better than the heavier traditional creams, maybe because this weather is kinda similar to the hot summers in Japan, but I also used the “gel cream” during winter time, when I was in Japan, and products like this, are also great for that kind of colder weather.
