My wife and I love cooking on a griddle but with just the two of us it was such a waste of space to use our 36" griddle so when we saw this we had to try it out. This griddle is of solid construction, the perfect size for one or two people and heats up fast and even. Best of all after cleaning it off I can easily put in the kitchen cabinets. Because of the size… It is hard to say that this is “commercial”. It is “commercial” when you think about the overall construction… Wait… And so on. Though it certainly would not work for a restaurant, it could work for a food truck… Concession stand… And other purposes. I do use it in a small café at a school. Students prepare items for other students, faculty and staff. So for my needs it is perfect. I really like that there is a large grease container. It also heats well.
