This little gem suprised me. I thought, it might be fine on a weak battery to get you to some place to replace the battery. My wife didn't drive her car for a few months, got in one morning and the interior lights didn't come, no chime either. That battery was stone dead. Well nows my chance. I got the box out of the case and hooked it up to the battery. By the time I reached in for the key there was enough power to start it. Of course the battery was stone dead and I had to put it on charge for the day, but it jumped it off easily. I check the charge monthly and it lives in my truck for when it eventually will be needed. Save yourself the time and trouble. Do not buy! Purchased 2 anticipating one for me one for my son. First opportunity was a v6 with low, not dead, battery. Wouldnt quite crank. Used first one of these jump starters and could see the percent of charge start dropping from 99% immediately. got down to about 92% before I tried to start the car and got virtually not assistance. Still would not crank engine and the jump starter locked out. Tried the second one of these and got same results except it didn't lock up, but would not crank engine. Both Giatero 4000a 's were fully charge prior to use. Pulled out my 2 year old AstroAI rated at 2500A , 85% charged, and started car easily and still had 82% power left. The Giateros are much lighter than the AstroAI. I assume that means smaller battery. Pretty product, nice case, but they dont have what it takes to work. Do NOT recommend buying these. Read more
