Rather than move across the country with the box springs of our king size bed we decided to try this product. It is sturdy enough and easy to assemble. The cover is adequate and has held up so far. My only real issue is that it slides too much on the bed frame. The dimensions are slightly less than our original box springs. We like having the mattress slightly lower so that was a bonus. I finally put this together yesterday when our new bedroom furniture arrived. It was well packaged and it a fairly compact box, which was nice. The larger pieces were hinged and folded in half so there was no assembly needed there. The rest of the assembly was pretty quick and the instructions were very easy. My six year old loved putting all the slats in and “building” it. It’s very lightweight somehow, even though the parts are all a heavier feeling metal that seems super sturdy and durable. I really liked the included cover so that it looks much nicer. Now that it’s set up with a new mattress on top, it’s really comfortable and I’m not at all worried if the kids try to jump on my bed. This box spring comes in several pieces in a box with all parts, hardware, cover, instructions, and assembly tools. It is easy to put together, but it does take between 20 to 30 minutes to assemble and plenty of space to work in. To make assembly easier, use a bucket or box to support the end you are working on. By keeping the box spring off the floor, you can turn the wrench in full rotations rather than starting and stopping. If you are older or have bad hips or knees, use a small step stool or something to sit on while working, otherwise this job becomes a killer. Once completed, this box spring is very sturdy.
