Bought as a replacement after my cat chewed through my Astro A40 cord. Works great without having to spend as much as the original replacement. Doesn’t turn the mix amp red when muted but that isn’t a big deal for me. Definitely worth the price. Length is the same as the original and it’s compatible. So far it seems durable. This product is awful, it worked for about a week before the mute/unmute button started only working intermittently. Now i have to unplug my mixamp pro tr and unplug the cord each time it stops working just to get it work for a short amount of time. Also, it doesn’t show whether you are muted or unmuted on your mixamp pro tr. The sound works fine all of the time but when you unmute yourself there is a buzzing for all other trying to hear you. I hardly play (about 2/3 times per month) and each time i am finished using it, it gets placed back the way it was shipped so i know it is not being kinked or otherwise flexed inappropriately. For the exact same price you can get the real thing shipped to you from Astro’s website you just have to wait a few days. This product is a terrible value and I do not recommend it to anyone. It works, but it causes problems with Xbox especially with discord. If I’m in game chat, this mic works fine for the most part, but I find that when I mute myself and then unmute myself while I’m in discord on Xbox, the mic still thinks I’m muted and I often have to leave and rejoin the discord I never had this issue before with any of other chords except this one. Also it has a slight buzzing to it not that your friends can hear, but that only you can hear when there’s no audio going on. I’ve had it for about a month and a half an hour and it’s been working good. The links seems good too might even be a little bit too long but other than that everything is great. Read more
