Bought this for a new trailer that ended up costing me more than advertised. So, I didn’t feel like spending more on a spare tire mount. This option was the first hit on Amazon. The price was good, and it seemed to be very accommodating in sizes of frame and tire pattern it fit. So, I bought it. Install: Install took about 10 minutes. It came with 2 sets of galvanized bolts (one about 4” long and one about 6” long). I used the 4” ones. They are boxed ends, so they fit in square holes in the assembly and you only need to tighten or hold one end…so you can manage alone. There are plenty of holes to fit your exact setup, and one of the wheel lug bolt holes is slotted, for an even more versatile fit. The tire is secure and out of the way now. Pros: Affordable. Really, you can’t beat the price. Versatile fit for wheel lug pattern and frame size. Easy instal. Feels solid. Steel construction with good welds. Cons: Kind of wish it had a lock. But I can buy a wheel locking lug at the auto part store…but it will probably cost more than this kit, so I can’t fault the manufacturer. I would recommend this spare tire mount. It’s simple, no nonsense, and affordable. Done. Read more
