The elderberry & raspberry are a great mask for the zinc. The zinc is still apparent as you suck the lozenge. The downside, as the lozenge melts, it’s not smooth and soft, but is spiky, like the elderberry plant is growing out of the lozenge. I think some batches contaminated with mold?
I've been using these since early COVID; my stomach tolerates them better than Cold-eze. The batches with expiration dates in Fall of 2026 taste like moldy berries; being that they use natural raspberry to flavor, this is not surprising, as raspberries easily grow mold. i may try the orange flavor, which might be safer. They helped with a sore throat!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I was going on a trip and I wanted something to help me to avoid getting sick. I was around people with a cold and sore throat. I did get a very mild cold. I think that the ingredients in these help it to be milder. The texture was odd but it did not bother me also my tongue color was not an issue. They did the job advertised. Read more
