I tried several other bands of similar charcoal before I stumbled on charcoal master. In every respect it is superior to the other brands I tried. One of the problems I had with the other brands were that often they would not burn after the initial sparkly stuff that is supposed to do the trick is finished. Too often I had to use a small butane torch to light the charcoal after the sparkly stuff was done, and then the charcoal would not burn evenly and would not burn to completion. I've also had charcoal that burned too quickly even though it was also hard to start. I have not had any of these problems with this charcoal. It starts as it should. Shortly after the sparkly part is over, the entire little briquet takes on a whitish appearance and it burns steadily, slowly and completely. No problems. Now that I've found a brand that works as it should, I have no reason to experiment with other brands. Read more

This is my second time ordering these charcoal tablets, so I already knew what to expect. I did notice that the middle near the bottom doesn’t burn all the way through. Even with that, it still burns enough for four to five spoonfuls of incense without any issues. The box says 100 disks, but I usually use two at a time depending on what I want to burn. That makes the box last me at least a month. For the price, I feel like it’s worth it. The way the disks burn works well for my relaxing time or when I sage my house. I like how quickly they light. I didn’t have any problem with ordering or delivery. It would just be nice if the whole disk burned through completely. Read more

Using for my bakhoor collection and works well. It does simmer and slight mini sparks initially, but nothing concerning. Has burned consistently as needed so far and lasts within the hour as expected. It does give off that sulfur or slight sulfur smell as it’s burning but once it’s ready, after a few minutes, for me to put my incense on, the smell is gone. I haven’t had any dud coals so far in the first pack. But it’s bound to happen with any. I will continue to buy. But will also try other brands. Read more

I really like these little discs! These are a bit smaller than the charcoal discs that I’ve always seen. I included a picture of an “average” sized disc next to one of these. These are a bit larger than an American quarter. I like the size a lot as I usually had to break the others in half or just let it burn out after I was done using it and that always felt wasteful. These still burn for maybe almost an hour or so. They burn well and light up easily. EDIT— okay after using these discs for a couple of months, I’d say only about 75-80 percent of the discs work at all. I often have one spark up and then just fizzle out. Removed a star from the rating. DOUBLE EDIT- after continuing to use these, I’ve removed an additional star because a LOT of these just absolutely refuse to light. Sucks, I like the small size.
