Item was as described and seems very stable - using it for an iMac and 2nd monitor and it seems to hold the weight without issue. I am using on a gaming desk and it fits well. As far as instructions and assembly go, the instructions are pretty self-explanatory, however I did mark down a star in my rating due to assembly. When attaching the light strip, the sticky backing did not hold to the actual riser - I had to use my own double-sided tape to attach it. Also, there are no pre-drilled holes for the light strip holders - I didn't want to attempt drilling (that's on me and my clumsiness) - so the extra tape I had worked fine. The lights themselves worked and appear brighter than other light strips I've used for tables I've built. Finally, the stickers that they provided to hide the screw caps came in a ziplock bag and were attached to each other - had to pull them apart and then some of the sticky backing was removed - not a show-stopper, just minor inconvenience.
