I needed an outfit to wear to a wedding a few days away. Strapped for time, I ordered this 3-pc ensemble, not minding the complaints about glitter falling all over the place. First things first, the glitter did fall all over the place and I had glitter on my hair and face when I first tried it on. I was also uncomfortable with the sequins that embellished the shell and duster. I thought they looked cheap. But things got better from here. I was able to shake away the glitter away and the sequins actually added to the character of the outfit. The pieces fit extra well and was flattering on my 5’5 size 16 person. It elongated my body and added height to my stature. People commented that I looked elegant and fabulous. More than that, the outfit made me feel good inside. I am 5’4” and usually wear a 10, but after reading reviews ordered the 12 petite in the coal color and it fits great! The pant length is perfect with a 2-3” heel. This outfit was very pretty, but from the time I unpacked out, the glitter was everywhere. I had my seamstress alter it and she said her shop was full of glitter. Since I didn't have time to purchase another and had it altered, I decided to go ahead and wear it to my granddaughter's wedding. It was a beach wedding, but the venue had to be changed to tents. It rained and rained. In the meantime, glitter was everywhere. On the floors, on the couches, on my bed, in my shoes, .....yes everywhere. But the most horrible thing, it was on my skin. I could not remove it from my neck and face. Even though I showered and cleaned my face that night, the next morning someone remarked my face was shining with glitter. I had to actually pinch my skin to remove the glitter. My husband said to put it in the garbage since I had managed to drop glitter everywhere and on other people's clothing. I offered it to my granddaughter, but after her bedroom was littered with it, she put it in the garbage. She was afraid if she took it home, the glitter would get in her dogs' eyes I think she did the right thing. That is my experience with a glittered garment and I wondered if the stuff had been sprayed on. I would not recommend this garment that I had invested over $170 after alterations. Glitter bomb.
