I bought this to wear to my son's wedding. I had shopped at all the high end mall stores and came up empty. In desperation I turned to Amazon. I ordered two dresses. One I returned but this one is a keeper. The material is heavy chiffon, very high quality. The bodice is nicely embellished- enough to make it special but not overdone. The dress fits well (size 14) though will require hemming to accommodate my 5'3" frame. The lace jacket is a nice addition to the dress. This dress was a great style and fit, but the fabric is much more sparkly than was appropriate for my son's outdoor fall wedding. More suited for a cruise or other glam event. I loved the jacket and would have kept it as a separate. The color was a bright metallic purple and the fabric was a nice weight and quality. I returned it after finding a better choice. Read more
This dress was for my daughter's wedding. My height is 5'8'' and the skirt just reached the floor with no shoes on. At 220lbs the size 18 (plus) was perfect for my hourglass shape. The champagne color is true to the picture online and I received numerous compliments on color and style of the dress. It's not so formal that I couldn't wear it again at another event. The jacket is solid material which I liked because I did not want my arms and shoulders to show through. The material is soft, including the inside of the jacket, and it is thick enough that everything looks smooth on the outside layer. I wore this all day outdoors in 100 degree heat and I was relatively comfortable. As I went to wash the dress after the event it did not seem to have picked up any odors even though I know I sweated plenty that day! The dress arrived somewhat wadded in a box but did not show any wrinkles after I hung it up. I paid $129 for the dress in my size and I feel it was a fair price for the value I received. Read more
Was not able to try it on because the zipper was STUCK !It arrived like that and no amount of pulling would make it move and I didn't want to damage the dress ! The jacket is more of a bolero than a jacket ! Was really disappointed will be returning ! Read more
I purchased this dress for my granddaughter’s wedding. I am Short 5’, So a good 6 inches needed to be removed. Luckily I hemmed it easily. The dress is very flattering, hides Imperfections, and skims the body beautifully. The bodice and jacket have just enough sparkle to be classy. Unfortunately this dress had a stain on the front, very low on the hem and I think the majority of it will be taken in the hem. Someone had to have purchased this dress, worn it and then sent it back! The hook was half attached (should have been my first clue) but I thought a needle and thread and it would have been fine. I agree with the review on 11/07/16 complaining that she thought she was getting a new dress and I think I ended up with the same dress with the same half attached hoo. Very disappointed! Gorgeous dress! I found this same dress at Macy’s and fell in love with it. I was searching on-line before I bought it, to make sure it was the one I wanted, and found the exact same dress for half the price! The one that I tried at Macy’s was an 18W, it was a little big on me. The only one available on-line was a regular 18 (no W) , so I ordered it, praying it would fit. It was a perfect fit! I was so delighted, since I’d never ordered clothes on-line before. I followed the size guide and it worked. I’m short, so I figured I’d need to alter the length, but it hit me right at the ankles, exactly where it should fit. The dress is lightweight & flowy and comes with a cute bolero jacket. I tried on this dress in size 14 in silver at Macy’s but really wanted the champagne color. The only size in beige on Amazon was size 12. I took a chance and I’m glad I did! The bodice has some stretch to it so it fit perfect. I’m 5’2 and 170 lbs, measurements are chest 39 in, waist 33 in, hips 47 inches. The ribbon belt is too snug but if I move the clips it should be perfect. I took off one star because there was a rhinestone missing from the slider on the belt. I will have to have it hemmed because of my height. Read more
