These satin twill Capri pants in the color Moonbeam from Rafaella are really beautiful, and that’s mainly down to the high quality fabric and the workmanship. The fabric combination of 52% cotton, 46% polyester, and 2% Spandex gives these Capri pants a nice smooth feel to the touch with just a little stretch to make them feel especially comfortable. The problem I face is that they’re too big, and had I only been aware, I’d have ordered the size 16. I expected them to be just right but finding them to be too big in the waist and the legs - well, that pretty much covers Capris. There are no belt loops to help out, but I might try taking in the waist as best I can to see if I can use them. It would be very sad if I can’t. I see that others reviewing have said similarly that these Capri pants run big, so take that as a warning. As for construction, these are very well put together. Stitching is neat and smooth, the pockets with their zippers are sewn perfectly flat, and the hems with their grommet detailing couldn’t be better. Re value for money, the listed price of 35 usd seems to be in the right range for these pants, but with the problem of sizing being out of sync, that changes everything. Let the buyer beware. I debated giving these a three star because of sizing issues, but the quality wins so I'm giving 4 stars. What I like: - Fabric feels nice, and has well finished seams - Overall style is professional looking and would be great for office What I didn't like: - The Sizing chart/s on the listing are useless. The "sizes" aren't adjusted for Plus, and the Plus Chart only references X sizes and none of them are accurate to what's on offer. I found the Plus Size Chart on another listing and am attaching it here. If I'd gone hunting before I ordered I would have known to size down. - Runs large and long. I'm 5'3" and the length goes to my ankles and the rise drops a few inches longer than I would prefer. I ordered the size I'd typically pick up in pants or jeans at the department store and these are inches too big. I do think the quality and style is nice enough that I'm going to take the time to alter them to fit properly. Read more
