The media could not be loaded. These are the slacks to buy if you’re looking for pants that don’t show too much and can be somewhat formal. I love the way these pants sway as I walk. Lovely pant and they fit well. The pant comes with pockets that are really not deep at all - you can’t put your phone in them, but you can put your hands inside. There is some elasticity in the pant but not much give at all. The pants don’t cost too much. The material is not too thin but just thin enough to sway as you walk. Even if the size you choose is snug around your hips and waist, the pant leg will sway as you walk. I am 5’6 280 lbs and got, at first, size 22. But I could wear them without unbuttoning or unzipping them. So I got a size 20 and wished I had stuck to the size 22 because the latter size was too tight around my waist. The lighter brown beige pant was size 22 in the pics. The darker brown pant was size 20. Both sizes really flatter my apple shape. For business-semi formal occasions, I wear a-lined tunics because of my protruding belly and so flowing pants really flatter my shape. I like the material and design. There's some stretch and room to move rather than a tight fit. However, the fit is just okay, it's not that flattering since it's more loose/baggy in the wrong places. The material and construction is made very well because I've washed them many times in the year and half I've owned them and they're still looking nice and the color hasn't faded. Read more
I just received four more pairs of the Rafaella pants. I now have them just about every color. They fit me well except they are too big at the waist. I was going to exchange for a smaller size but I think then they may be too tight in the thighs and in the buttocks. I will kept them and will wear a belt or have them taken in at the waist… love the fabric length, the stretch (I am 5’9) . These pants are perfect for me! I have always had issues with the waist being way too large by the time I get them to fit thicker thighs and hips. The waistband is just snug enough I don't need a belt or the traditional elastic waist I've had to have in the past. The fabric is very nice, perfect for a professional look. It has a bit of stretch, but the waist doesn't stretch out to be too big after several hours. Very happy! Read more
I bought my first pair in November 2014, size 22W. (The tag says made in China) The pants fit great and they were the most comfortable pair of pants that I had ever worn for work. As time passed I lost weight and because the first pair I bought fit amazingly, I bought a second pair, size 20W, a few months later. This was when I first noticed the quality change. (The tag says made in Indonesia) The fabric didn't seem to be the same quality, it wasn't as soft or comfortable, but it still fit great so I didn't complain. Now these pants are the only work pants I own. I have worn the first two pairs I bought between 3-4 days a week every week for two years. Aside from being a bit too big for me now, they are both still in good condition. Anyway, year passed and I lost some more weight and bought a size 18W in August 2016. (The tag also says made in Indonesia) This third pair that I bought last August, I also wore for the same 3-4 days a week. However, the quality of this pants is very different from the first two. Some chafing of the fabric started in the crotch area where my legs rub together early on and only got worse over time. And now less that six months later the material in the area is completely worn down, threadbare and there are two holes in my pants. I wore the first two for over two years and never had any problems. In fact they are still in excellent condition. Why am I suddenly having this problem? The only reason I can think of is there there has been some kind of change with the manufacture of the pants because everything I have done for the last two years and six months has been exactly the same. Where as I use to recommend these pants to everyone, I feel I should warn people. They still fit well but the quality of the pants has changed. Buyer be warned. The fit is good as always. Just bought another two pairs. They are 16W and 18W. Lost more weight and now I’m boarding between the two. Read more
